New Otani Main is by far in my top 3 hotels in all of Tokyo and let me list the ways:
1. Service - as soon as I walked in the door, I was treated as a VIP. Staff was extremely courteous and professional, check-in was smooth and quick, and I had absolutely no problem at any time with anything that I requested, whether it was an iron and board or room service. Everything was done professionally and in a timely manner.
2. Restaurants and Bars - Otani has no shortage of restaurants, and each is unique and of high quality. I didn't even have to leave the hotel as it is like a mini-city with every type of service imaginable, too lengthy to list here but my favorite buffet restaurant 'Satsuki' has some of the most delicious and high-quality Japanese breakfast items on the menu. Capri bar and Sky bar are so beautiful and elegant with a great vibe.
3. Location - Otani is close to everything that I like, restaurants and shops, and is within walking distance of at least 5, that I know of, train stations. It's even got a fishing pond nearby! The vibe is quite different from over-crowded noisy areas such as Shibuya and Shinjuku, located in a kind of high-class area in Akasaka, even the name sounds cool!
