Rating: 3/10 – A 5-Star Hotel with 3-Star Service
Let me start by highlighting the few positive aspects of my stay:
The bathroom, bed, and curtains were well-maintained and provided a decent level of comfort. The curtains effectively blocked out sound from the polo area at the nearby hotel, but unfortunately, they did not fully block out interior noise. For instance, you could still hear doors closing when other guests entered or exited their rooms.
However, if you decide to open the curtains, you will be greeted with the loud sounds of a polo game from the neighboring hotel. The noise level is so high that it feels like you're in the middle of a football stadium.
The Bar:
It took an unacceptable 40 minutes to receive a drink at an almost empty bar. The timeline was as follows: 10 minutes to receive a menu, another 10 minutes to place the order, 10 minutes to deliver food, and finally, another 10 minutes for the first drink to arrive. A total of 40 minutes for the first drink with cold food? This is far from what I would consider an acceptable hospitality experience.
The Bar Upstairs:
The service here was much faster, and the drinks were of good quality. However, the view from the bar overlooks an industrial port, which I would not describe as charming.
The "Garden View":
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. To actually see the "garden view," you have to stretch your neck out from the balcony. It's disappointing to see a 5-star hotel resorting to such 3-star t
