You Get What You Pay For

Housekeeping never came to our room. When we checked out we were told that they should have come after night 2, but after 5 nights we had no house keeping. The water pressure in the sink was horrible. The bed was better than we expected it to be.

Not so good, had to get different room on front side of hotel, pool wasn’t clean, first room smelled musty and could smell like someone was smoking weed, second room was somewhat a little better, but the door was hard to open and close, could hear people yelling outside of room, not a pleasant stay at all The lady at check-in was pleasant and accommodating as best as she was able to, I guess you get what you pay for

Comically terrible

It was the second worst hotel ive ever stayed in. Upon entering, the room had no electricity. Front desk clerk had to come up and turn it on. Fridge was filthy and smelled like rotting death. Walking on the floor made the soles of your feet black with dirt. Clumps of long dark hair in the corners. Toilet seat wasnt connected to the toilet itself and there was dried urine caked around the bolts where it would have attached. The sheets looked clean so i didn't dare investigate further.

Comfy bed — no frills hotel

The bed was comfy and room somewhat updated but the halls were dirty with stinky trash bins outside the doors . The staff was very very nice . Just need to keep working on making this very inexpensive place better! Bathrooms clean and “re-done.” But they need to do some “detailing” of corners and update the hallways a bit .

New favorite in town

Wow. This spot was a great value. I'm confident you won't find better value in Front Royal. The bathroom was wider than average, which was nice. The a/c was quiet and efficient. The mattresses must have been nearly new. They were firm. There was more than one chair. There's an attached restaurant. I was impressed.

Quick family trip

Decent hotel for the price, good breakfast & a nice pool. Rooms need some updating, none of the lights worked except the bathroom light & one small light by the bed. In their defense we didn’t report the issue we just made it work. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Comfortable economic stay

We stayed here at the stars of our Skyline/Shenandoah vacation. While the outside appearance might make you think it is outdated, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The onsite restaurant serves Thai food and it is really good. The room rate includes a hot breakfast. The hotel location is centrally located close to the Shenandoah river and the northern entrance to the Skyline drive. We had an excellent 2 day stay!

Clean, hospitable safe... pool was very nice and clean and open when it was stated it should have been. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially Jason who was running the breakfast, he was polite and helpful and approachable

Great stay QUICK CHECK IN. HAPPY OVERALL

Checked prices first, worried because the cost was lower for the area. Check in was fast and painless. Gave id requested a room on bottom floor due to having surgery next morning early. Staff ask if they could help me get in safety. Kindly rejected. Very quiet. Non smoking room? Smelled smoke passing several doors. Once in the room not so bad.

We were very excited to be near the historic downtown and forest. When we arrived our room was the farthest away from the area around back. The lock to go into the stairwells did not work. UNSAFE. The room next to our was padlocked shut. We tried to open our room and the green lights lit up but it was impossible to open the door. I told the staff about issue. I asked to move feeling unsafe and unable to get into the room. She said it was not possible. We waited 20 minutes back at the room for someone to come and unlock it and no one ever came. It was after 9pm and dark. I decided to drive 3 1/2 more hours to our final destination then to continue to stand there in the dark. Front desk took my key and said everything was "taken care of." The next day I called the manager to make sure we were not billed and she told me there was a ticket for maintenance to come and unlock our door?????? What? This was the next day. No one was EVER coming to let us in that night. And we were charged and currently trying to dispute it.
