The hotel is just beautiful. There are special things to discover everywhere. One of our favorites was the secret ice cream parlor in the magnificent garden. Took a long time for room to be ready past—almost two hours beyond check in time. Sat outside for a few hours which was fine but we had given up our bags so no clothes to change to. Room was nice but tight space. The problem was how loud it was at night. We faced the pool so took a long time to fall asleep. Maybe ask for a quiet room. We had come from truly fabulous places in Morocco so this was our only disappointment

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. As was our room, including the patio area. Service was quite good (generally excellent but occasionally inconsistent). The garden is gorgeous, but also a tourist attraction in itself so gets busy with tourists not staying at the hotel. This means you are constantly asked by staff if you’re a guest. The restaurants are good but relatively pricey for what they offer. One major detractor for us was that people smoke indoors, everywhere. We had our dinner at the Marjorelle cafe ruined twice by a guy smoking a cigar. This is a Marrakech issue more than a hotel issue, but it really bothered us. Oh, and the diffuser they use is incredible (we bought some in the boutique).

The best hotel in the world in my opinion.

This hotel is unbelievable in its attention to details from when you arrive until you leave. The personal touch is there from the start when they check you in with refreshments on the couch. You are called by your name all the time. The building, decor and gardens are spectacular. I could go on about them all day long.

It’s an impressive property. Architecturally unbelievable and amazing. The rooms, for such a high caliber property, were disappointingly small. I’ve stayed in $80 best westerns that were more spacious.

Serenade and Serenity at La Mamounia

La Mamounia is one of the best and most beautiful hotels I know. Everything is perfect, from the friendliness of the staff who always welcome you with a smile, to the communal areas with lovely corners, the large, well-kept garden, the restaurants and bars and the excellent, and relaxing, rooms. This historic place is the perfect place to spend a week discovering the stunning city of Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains. I cannot end this review without mentioning the excellent quartet of musicians who perform nightly in the main bar. It is a pleasure to enjoy the superb cocktails on the menu while listening to jazz and soul music played to perfection.

Decadent splendour, Arch no mr

It is always a delight to stay at Manounia. The splendour and intricacies of Moorish-Andalusian architecture and design lavishly unites with the Art Deco styles of the early 20th century, while offering subtle hints of the Berber architecture of the Saharan south, to create a mesmerizing palace honouring the best of Morocco. Even the pool doesn’t disappoint, with temperatures hovering at the 40 degrees, the pool remains at a cool 20 C. The room was spectacular though the mattress was rather hard. Nonetheless, it is strongly recommended for anyone desiring to have a royal experience in the land of the King!
