My go-to hotel in NY. Perfect location and access to public transportation. Services is very impersonal, but the hotel is reliable and consistent. Can get expensive when NY is full. The Premier rooms are the way to go; standard rooms are way too small.

Rooms could use some repairs. Peeling paint, non working fridge and very loose toilet seat, to name a couple specifics. Do not disturb sign wasn’t provided (even after requesting one) so housekeeping tried entering early every morning. Good location and the lobby was pretty. Overall this stay wasn’t terrible, just wish the room had been better for the price paid.

The location of this hotel is fabulous. We loved being within walking distance to several of the best spots, but just far enough away from the busyness of Times Square. We were very disappointed with the guest services, though. We called once a day about the thermostat and TV in our room not working and never got a resolution in our 6 day stay. We ended up just having to crack the windows in our room because it was so stuffy. We also had a stuffed animal that got taken with the laundry and never returned. The lack of help was super frustrating, but the location of the hotel and ease of moving around helped offset some of our frustration.

The location is great for walking to Central Park, Broadway and Times Square. The subway is right next to the hotel, which makes everything easy. The staff were all fantastic, but the hotel is in need of updates. The door to my room (453) had gouges in it like someone took a hammer to it, and a strip of carpet was torn up just inside the door. All things being considered, I would stay here again.

The location was great. I liked that it was the more “quiet” part of manhattan. The entrance/ lobby and location of the hotel feels fancy with a low price tag compared to nearby hotels. Very fast and easy to checkin. Room was cleaned daily!

The location was good… and that was it really. As advertised, it’s walking distance to Central Park (5 min walk give or take). A lot of good restaurants in the area and close to a couple subway entrances. *** NO AC BETWEEN NOV-APRIL *** the room temperature was in the 70s and no matter how low you set it, it’ll only blow out hot air. We had to sleep with the windows open the whole time. The elevators broke once during our stay and one of the elevator doors wouldn’t open all the way. The staff was really nice.

Huge busy hotel in great location

This is a huge, busy hotel in a great location, between Times Square and Central Park. They seem to manage the crowds effectively and it works as a good home base, close to multiple subway lines, restaurants, and other amenities. It is not elegant by any means but nothing is unacceptable about the accommodations either.
