10/10 Exceptional

Beautiful location; 3 bedroom unit was spacious and nicely renovated; great breakfast
Alisia, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Quiet place. Fun to stay

I chose this place because the hotels in Flam were quite expensive. At first, the exterior of the hotel made me hesitate a little, but after staying here, I was pleasantly surprised. The interior was beautifully upgraded and very clean, far better than the outside appearance. The staff were also kind and helpful. The breakfast was slightly below average, but the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. If I visit again, I would definitely stay here.

Perfect place to get away

Had a great stay at Gudvangen Fjordtell. The location is amazing and the people were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here and not in Flam. Cruise ships cannot come into the fjord that far, so at night it is very peaceful. Easy access back and forth to Flam via the shuttle bus, or by boat.

Very comfortable stay, kind and helpful staff with AMAZING surrounding scenery. After seeing a slice of the area, I understand the naming choice, Gudvangen, god open space of worship.

This was a great stop in between our stays in Oslo and Bergen. Lovely scenery and kind people. Would have loved to kayak, but did not have enough time.
Deanna, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Convenient place to stay if you want to visit the Hardangerfjord area fjords . They have a great breakfast buffet that is constantly refilled as eggs or pastries are gobbled up. We took a ferry to Flam and the train up the hill ftom there
Maria M, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A good hotel for us as we wanted to check out Viking Valley and catch the Næyfjord cruise in the morning. A good Norwegian style breakfast was included.
LeAnn, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Wonderful hotel in a magnificent setting. Very few rooms so feels very exclusive. It's next to the ferry terminal to Flam - easy and plentiful parking, with a restaurant and shop next door. I loved it.
CHRISTOPHER, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Lots of steep steps to property and in the apartment itself. Short walk to main property for meals. Delicious breakfast. Extremely quiet and you couldn't beat the view of the fjords and mountains. Recommend.
Michelle, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Lovely surroundings and scenery! Fits into surroundings without a negative impact on nature. In need of upgrades just as privacy hedge or wall between lobby building and sleeping quarters. In need of some sort of shade for large beautiful skylights.

the room was very nice comfy and clean even for 6 people. and the scenery is of course gorgeous!

Enjoyable hotel on the fjord. The Viking village across the bridge was wonderful. The hotel staff was friendly, and the breakfast was plentiful.
Christopher, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Staff was very friendly and pizza in bakery was delicious

6/10 Good

Not much to chose from in Gudvangen, but definetly not worth the money in my opinion. Carpet in room felt very dirty. The breakfast was not good, very poor selection and stuff did not get refilled. The butter was all expired.

The hotel and staff is really amazing. It was really warm in the room and lovely stars view through the window. Lovely dinner with perfect service. Highly recommended!

Robert Craig, 2-night trip

Perfect location in Gudvangen

The hotel is located very close to the pier from where we had to take the ferry. It is also right next to the bus station in Gudvangen. It is a very short walk from here to the Viking village. The views all around are stunning.
Ranvir, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room is very basic, having some smells made my husband sneeze a lot. Opened windows to get fresh air but it is the first floor so can’t do that when we going out.
Wenying, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Nice hotel

We booked an 8-bed house. It was very clean, and there was a washbasin in every bedroom. The breakfast was a big bonus – very delicious! Just a small downside: the lady working at the breakfast bar wasn’t very friendly. I asked for a baby chair, and she just pointed to where it was, so I had to carry it myself. But when another guest asked for water, she brought it to him directly. It felt a bit discriminatory.
Wan-Chien, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

What a beautiful area! The hotel itself is a mix of modern and traditional, with many food options on site. Easy access to ferries and buses, hikes, kayaking, and a nearby viking village. The views take your breath away, and you can enjoy the quiet.
Cristy, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Cute hotel in a beautiful location

Very good experience, next to the fjord, the location is magnificent. Good breakfast with several options. They have an outside area where you can sit and admire the nature. The rooms are cute with Nordic decor. The only issue was that there is a window in the roof that doesn't close, so in spring/summer the sunrise is super early and if you don't have an eye cover you'll wake up, I believe the hotel should have courtesy eye covers. Luckily, I had a headband that I could use to cover my eyes.
