Only plus is the beach
The only good thing was the beach! The hotel was overrun, bad service with rude waiters and bartenders. I don’t blame them though. The hotel seemed very understaffed so the ones there were most likely overworked and over hearing people complaining. Food was not good. Impossible to get chairs at beach because there’s a beach club that takes most of the space and beds there are not included with your “all-inclusive” stay. $250 for a beach bed p/day. Or wake up and be at the beach by 7am to leave towels and your belongings to hold chairs. Same issue by the pools. Impossible to get a waiter at the beach unless you pay for the beach club beds. New Year’s celebration was also not part of our AI stay and was disappointed we had to pay extra however, it was a very good venue. We love a nice beach and had a good time because of it otherwise, it would have been a terrible experience.

Over promise, under deliver
The room was clean and it all looks nice from the outside, but underneath the surface we had a very frustrating stay. It was crowded and we had to wait in lines for most things. Breakfast buffet line in the morning was very long. You have to wait in line for dinner at the buffet if you don't make a reservation for a restaurant in person by 4pm. When we arrived, we checked into our room at 3pm and by the time we got settled it was 4:15pm and they told us it was too late to book a reservation. There were lots of empty tables at restaurants but we were unable to visit any of them that night and had to wait in a long line for the buffet. One day, we had some chairs at the kids' pool and then went to get breakfast. When we came back, the staff had moved our stuff off the chairs and every single chair was full. We waited an hour for a manager to try to help us, which is unacceptable when we have limited time on vacation and we were following the same systems that everyone else was using. It seemed like there were a lot of hoops to jump through or extra things that you couldn't do without paying. And the things that were included often came with long, slow lines. Overall, I would not recommend the Paradisus Cancun and will not stay there again.

Property grounds were well maintained. Rooms were nice but the upgraded ocean view room we paid for was not quite up to par. The lack of attention to detail just wasn't there. We had a broken sunken couch. One day it rained and water made it in room due to the window not properly sealed with clear caulking. Food was sub par, food flavors just aren't there for a AAA 4 Diamond rating. Other than that its a nice looking hotel but we probably won't be back.

The staff were friendly and go out of their way to ensure you feel safe, comfortable, and are having a good time. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, the food is spectacular, and the view and activities are great!

Gorgeous interior, large spacious views, beautiful pools and beach area, friendly staff. Wish we knew ahead to book our VIP perks in advance, especially since most things needed to be booked a day ahead and we were only there 2 days.

Very relaxing atmosphrere but Paradisus Melia need to do something about party noises coming from the Kulkukan Blvd. We were staying at a room with view of the lagoon side and we could not sleep from Thurday thru Sunday ( Oct 24th thru Oct 27th ) , The Night Club Mun is extremely noisy and they work until 5:00 am. It was terrible. Try to do something about this with the city. In the Hotel all perfect but this ruined our stay.
