"Clean quiet hotel friendly staff"

"Clean hotel with the bare essentials. Location is a distance from historic region of Lyon~ 3 miles. Walking it took us 45 minutes but public transit is really close. Restaurant on site is limited in hours and only serves breakfast and dinner at set times. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"The Residhome Lyon Gerland had large one bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We faced the inner courtyard and the room was quiet. There are cafes and a grocery store across the street. Subway is right outside hotel. Good value."

"Pros:Massively large bathroom and well-stocked-modern.you can open 2 huge windows for circulation. Room is very spacious. Only a 3-minute walk to the tram. Cons: There is no air-conditioning. Regional and freight trains are just 100+ feet away so it is noisy because you have to have windows open. Loud talking and laughing from other rooms because their windows are open. "

"I booked this hotel as I thought it was close to all the sights of Lyon. In hindsight, I should have stayed closer to the old town. Having said that, most sites are around 30-40 minutes walk away or can be reached by tram or metro. The hotel itself is nice, albeit a bit rustic. When I arrived to my room, it was hideously hot. The air con wasn’t working, despite being ‘on’. I told the hotel staff and they offered for me to switch rooms if it didn’t work. I thought this was nice of them but...

"The hotel is located close to the train and bus stations. Very convenient and walkable if you plan on flying into Lyon and taking either of these methods of transportation to venture elsewhere. The hotel is older, quaint, and could use some updating, but for the money, it would be hard to find a hotel so convenient to these launching off points. "
