"This little hotel has been beautifully renovated inside, with comfortable bed and clean tiled floors and fresh modern bathroom. The owners are kind and helpful and concerned to be sure you're comfortable. Don't be put off by the outdated exterior, which I understand is supposed to be motivated later. I was happy to find this hotel for the night and felt like it was a good value for the money. "

"Looks like the facility has been updated recently, but still needs work. The first room we went to couldn't get in. They said the battery on the door was bad and gave us another room. When we went into the next room the temp was 55 degrees. Took over 2 hours to get to the mid 60's. Only got to 68. The elevator was freezing. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay. "

"The room was a very nice size with a four poster bed. Considering it was originally built in 1824, they did put in modern plumbing. The ceilings were high so it was kind of cool in the evenings. The inn had oil filled radiator looking type of heater. The room was comfortable using it late evening. Only draw back was we were given a room on the 3rd floor. The elevator only went to second floor. As we are elderly, we climbed 15 steps with luggage in tow. Next time will request a room on the second...

"They asked if I had a pet and I did not. So they seem to be pet friendly. The place was very clean and very nice."

"The room wasn't very clean. The carpet was in bad shape. The whole facility seemed worn and dingy. Breakfast area is tiny and crowded, but they made the most of the limited space. The Race track was very noisy."

"We were in an adjoining room. The people next to us had their outside door open with numerous people coming in and out, drinking and talking loud until very late. Bathroom was dirty. Shower was moldy. Floor was dirty. Night and morning desk clerks were friendly enough. "
