The ocean bathing area, with an abundance of reclining sun-beds and in arm’s reach of a well stocked bar, is manned by a vigilant lifeguard (bagnino). "We booked for two nights expecting more to explore. In early Dec? Many things are closed (historical sites, etc). If you're passing thru' I'd say Piombino is a nice town for a one night stop.
