Can you believe this is Cambodia? What a lucky and unexpected find! THIS is precisely why I love not having fixed plans and being open to just discover something... People! You don't have to book accommodation in advance all the time - just wander around with your backpack and see what happens. You don't always have to read every section of a guidebook to 'be prepared'. Let go of control. Get lost, be curious, say YES to life and you might just be surprised!
While Ben was exploring mainland Cambodia, I took a bus down to Kep - a little fishing village - and saw signs for a cheap boat to 'Koh Tonsay' (also known as the Rabbit Island). I took the boat and found Paradise! I was blown away!

For hours I lounged on this hammock reading a book and just enjoying the view of an unspoiled beach - almost like Koh Phayam in Thailand. It was Heaven!
I would not have discovered this, had i not just spontaneously decided to buy a ticket to somewhere I had known nothing about. "The hotel was exceptional in design of its rooms (we stayed in rm 111), access, exterior space, and pool. The lighting, access to switches and sockets was well thought out too. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful when requesting transport. The serving of breakfast would have been a bonus on an otherwise wonderful stay The only additions I would recommend….a hand soap pump by the sink to avoid stepping into the shower tray each time to access the dispenser on the wall, and horizontal towel rails to enable 4 wet/damp towels to be neatly hung up rather than placed on shelves or suspended on one of 2 single hooks."
