Spent 5 nights at this hotel/restaurant the second week of December, 2019. Chose it due to proximity to Isla Cano dive operators and price.

they are construction didnt have a reception desk and they dont give receipt and ask for cash only evading local taxes did not get receipt for my stay nor the drinks we had. be carefull

The hist Mauricio was really good, he's actually doing it all, food, hosting, cleaning any repairs which seems like a lot for one person but he still does it all great. Just a heads up cards are charged in British pounds but it'll be the same equivalent to the USD you were presented, if you still have your concerns they accept the payment in dollars if it's cash

There wasn't ac and the fans weren't very strong. Windows were open so a bunch of bugs crawled into the place. The curtains were completely see-through in the bathroom was positioned right in front of the windows to a walkway which was very uncomfortable. All the doors that we actually tried closing didn't close correctly and open correctly either. also breakfast was supposed to be included but it wasn't open which was really inconvenient for us as we had a tour scheduled and had to rush to go find breakfast elsewhere. There's a little kitchen so if you prefer to make your own food it's a good place for you but overall it was a very uncomfortable stay. It's about a 5 minute or less walk from the beach which was great.

Best customer service ever! I cut my trip short unexpectedly and the manager and owner worked out a refund for that part of my stay. They were in no way obligated to to do this and it was gratefully accepted. The time I spent at Tropical Beach I checked out the beach- a short walk, the pool- very welcoming, the onsite restaurant- very good and the town of Uvita- good water excursion options and also great food.

Close to the beach, private area with parking which was closed at night adding safety. Clean rooms. We had to wait for the room to be ready even after check in time. The bathroom had a funny smell. Otherwise, very nice location.

Very hard to find, need more Hotel signs along roads. Once you arrive it is a nice place, Great staff and some of the best Metal Sculptures I have ever seen in the Bar.
