Must stay here!

La Barbera is a heavenly place to stay in Amalfi! Their staff is so lovely and accommodating and helpful. They really know the area and gave us the best of recommendations. Praiano is the perfect place to stay on the Amalfi Coast, close enough to all the great spots but quiet and peaceful place to come home to. The rooms at La Barbera are small but new and beautiful and very clean. The outside terrace is something to be treasured! The views are breathtaking! You will not be disappointed, I could not recommend La Barbera higher!!!

If we could give La Barbera more than five stars we would. The setting is spectacular, the rooms comfortable and beautifully appointed with large terraces overlooking the ocean - even featuring an outdoor shower! Little extras were not overlooked such having a diffuser attachment for the hair dryer (which is a big deal for curly girls!), that I've never seen in all my years of travel. The owner, Sylvia, and her two sons that run the B&B were so lovely and helpful. They took care of our dinner reservations each night, securing tables with beautiful views, and gave great advice for getting around. We highly recommend La Barbera to anyone planning to visit the Amalfi Coast!

Faultless

We stayed for 5 nights at this beautiful B&B, in Praiano, but it's much more boutique hotel than B&B, and was a perfect base for us to explore the Amalfi coast. The La Barbera over looks the town and bay, our room was magnificent, a great size, with the balcony and its hot tub and loungers being a great location both to start and finish the day. Breakfast is served each day on the terrace using local produce and freshly baked pastries and cake. The owners Roberto and Francesco could not have been more helpful with their advice and help making restaurant reservations and arranging a pick up for our boat trip to Capri from the charter company. Even giving us a lift one evening to save a walk down the hill to the harbour was offered and gratefully accepted. Sylvie's and Barbara's smiling faces at breakfast and friendly chat makes you feel right at home and nothing is too much trouble for any of the team. There is nothing I can find fault with in this venue in its 2nd season of operation, and would recommend it without hesitation to anybody wanting a central base away from the hustle of other nearby locations such as Positano, and wish La Barbera continued success. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! My husband and I stayed here only 2 nights. I wish we could have stayed here our entire trip! Between all 7 cities and 7 hotels we stayed at this was by far our favorite. The room and hotel was absolutely immaculate and beautiful. And most importantly the staff-family- who runs it is amazing. They were courteous and prompt and catered to our every need with a smile. I would recommend this b&b to anyone.

What can I say about this property... it was perfect! Beautiful rooms decorated in white and blues that reflected the location by the sea. Comfortable beds, linens and pillows. Luxury bathrooms with modern body showers. There was a common area where you can have breakfast or just relax and soak up the view... and the view was spectacular! The breakfasts were amazing. Roberto greeted us on arrival with a glass of prosecco which was a nice touch. Each day we returned from our travels the staff offered us coffee, fresh lemonade or another drink. All the staff were gracious, friendly and helpful arranging dinners at local restaurants and making suggestions about other sites to see on our trip. They made you feel like family! Especially Silvia. She was delightful! I can't say enough about this place except I jealously wish I could keep it a secret! It will always be a special place to me.

Perfection!

We were in Italy for 16 days to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We visited 6 different cities, and all of our accommodations were fantastic, but La Barbera had the cleanest room, the best breakfast, a breathtaking view, beautiful decor, and the staff was top notch. One of the owners was actually checking our room after it was cleaned one day to ensure it was done well. They also made gluten-free treats for my husband to enjoy. We could see that the staff truly loved working there. La Barbera definitely deserves its 5 star rating. I recommend them without any reservations.

Absolutely Perfect B&B

This place is absolute perfection! No detail is missed and you feel so welcome the moment you walk in. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and some finger foods. We were pretty hungry and had asked for a sandwich. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato was the best thing I ate the whole trip. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the views are stunning! Roberto and Francesco helped us with transportation, provided us with recommendations, and kept the wine coming! I wish every B&B was run like La Barbera! I will stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever make it back to the Amalfi Coast!

Serenity in Praiano

This is a beautiful small new B&B with a warm and welcoming staff. The best views - private outdoor small garden area with spectacular sunsets and views of Positano. The only downside was having to navigate so many steps to het anywhere. May be very challenging for peopke with knee problems. Regardless, we loved it here and would return. Sylvia and Francesco were so kind and very helpful.

Best hotel of our Italy trip

This new bed and breakfast in Praiano is a gem. Me and my wife have high expectations and we were so happy with our stay. La Barbera opened in April 2018 and everything felt brand new but very homey. Two brother's manage the B&B and their Auntie makes the breakfast. The breakfast was some of the best food we had on our trip. Our breakfast favorites were the prosciutto, tiramasu, lemon chiffon cake, and yogurt (all home made by Auntie!). We stayed in the room with the private jacuzzi on the balcony. We had the perfect view of the ocean and the Amalfi coast. You can see Positano and even the Faraglioni rocks in Capri from our balcony. We were a little hesitant about staying in Praiano and traveling to and from Positano but the buses were easy to manage. There is an excellent restaurant within 10 minutes of walking called Kasai that was so good that we went two nights in a row.
