Beautiful property! Clean, spacious, and great decoration. Gianfranco, property owner is very attentive. He picked up us from the parking station, gave us recommendations of where to eat. Super nice!* If you don’t like stairs, this property is not for you! BUT otherwise it’s a great space! Worth the stairs! My husband and 6 year old really enjoyed our stay!

GiaFronco was a lovely and very accommodating host. Please make sure to have your correct number with your country’s area code. Do not attempt to use google maps to get to this place or you will be walking up the incorrect flights of stairs. Gia will meet you when you arrive and he will then guide you to this beautiful peaceful casa of his. There is not a car that can access directly to the front door and you will indeed have to walk up a lot of stairs. The view from this place is AMAZING. You will not regret. Really really close to the main square. I recommend using “ mydaytrip” service if you want a private driver. Taxi drivers here will rip you off

Great service and whilst the steps are a challenge they are worth it. One criticism...the breakfast was poor and every day bar one we ate out ....which was expensive. Think this is a big black mark against a lovely property. We stayed in Suite 1

My husband and I recently stayed here on our honeymoon. The owner/caretaker, Gianfranco, was more than accommodating and was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfectly adequate and clean. We loved having breakfast each morning overlooking the beautiful view from the terrace!

10/10 Would Highly Recommend

My stay at Casa Mao was incredible and I loved every second of it! The view from my private balcony was amazing; I could see most of Amalfi Citta and the water! There’s also a rooftop balcony that’s available to everyone for free, which has the same view. The host, Gianfranco, was friendly, nice, and helpful the entire stay. The room was extremely clean, and wonderfully decorated. Unfortunately, the hotel isn’t handicap accessible, as you must climb a series of stairs to get to the hotel. From what I could tell, there are no roads leading to it. Also, be sure to provide a WORKING telephone number when you place your reservation because Gianfranco will contact you using it so he can Meet you upon arrival in Amalfi!!! Overall, I’m 100% happy with my stay and if I ever find myself in Amalfi again, I’ll be sure to spend the night at Casa Mao!

Great View

Gianfranco is a great host. He is extremely polite and puts the visitors first. He did a great job of recommending restaurants and taking making everything as easy as possible. The room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast was delicious and had the best view in Amalfi. There are many stairs to climb, but the higher you climb the better the view. I wish we could've stayed for more nights.
