The staff were amazingly kind & helpful. The location, parking & on site amenities(bar with live music & restaurant) were super. The bed itself was a bit old & saggy very but clean. I prefer a firmer mattress but other than that it was a great stay-Cheers NY Inn!

Friendly hotel
Very friendly place. We had a good welcome on arrival. Our room was clean with fairly comfortable beds. Bathroom was very clean but needed some attention to mould on bath tiles and bath mat. Very good strong shower. Unfortunately the lift wasn’t working. I have joint problems so this was difficult for me as our room was on the first floor above reception. Also the Manhattan Bar was 2 flights of stairs below reception. We had a good evening meal in the bar. Again very friendly and helpful service. In the morning there were no staff to be seen at 9:00a.m. and we had to wait some time before being served breakfast. However I understand that it was rather off season and therefore a quiet time with fewer staff? The New York Inn is close to the seafront and not too far from the town centre. The strand is further away so we drove there. Overall we liked the hotel. I would recommend a stay there but if you have mobility issues check that the lift is working!

Room allocation is shambolic
Big negative about the hotel that will certainly stop me from booking again is the room allocation. Having requested a King bed we were allocated a twin room. Upon looking at the fine print of the booking I can see that preferences can’t always be met. I’ve never experienced this with booking a hotel and therefore I will not use this hotel again. Staff are excellent and restaurant is great.

Great service and a great location. Good breakfast and dinner and friendly bar. Bathroom modern and roomy and a very comfortable bed

Never stay in room 6 S it’s got a generator and large food extractor van outside along with noise from the bar. Not sure it’s a 4 star hotel more like 3.

Very pleasant hotel but the incredibly loud music which reverberated through the whole building until 1 a.m. meant that we got very little sleep. Had we been warned earlier we would not have stayed there.
