Very hard beds, chinese style, but quite clean and spacious. There is a good restaurant right next door with a nice deck to sit out on and enjoy the view. The bathroom had loose white pebbles as the floor covering which was unusual but not unpleasant. No double glazing so you can hear a lot of outside noise, which is mainly roosters who seemed to crow all through the night, keeping us awake. Not the hotels fault, the are everywhere in the village, but bring your earplugs! From the Ping’an parking lot you walk up a stone path/steps for around 15 or 20 minutes to get to the hotel. It’s not really signposted and there are a lot of different tracks but the most direct one is to turn left and go over the bridge at the first fork in the track.
