Terrible communication and check in process
I was looking forward to stay in the apartments while visiting Venice. But unfortunately did not get a chance to stay there because I had to return home for an emergency. However I can point out that I absolutely hated the communication process with the property management. First, there is no check in desk at the apartments, which is understandable. Second, I was planning to check in after 8 pm as I was planning a trip to Verona, however when I finally contacted the manager who can be reached on the local phone only, he told me there is a 50 Euro charge if you check in after a certain time. I believe it was either 6pm or 7pm. Which means you only have a 4 or 5 hour window to check in otherwise you have to pay more. So I had to reschedule my trip to Verona for another day. On the day of the check in I got some news from home and had to rush to the airport to return to US. I tried to call the same number but got no answer, the phone just kept ringing. I texted this number saying I have to go back home and won't be staying there. The next day I got a hate message from the management through Hotels.com. The message stated that someone was waiting for me until midnight and I never showed up and asked for the explanation. I wrote back telling the story again but never received any more messages from anyone. I was very disappointed with the service. I believe that in a day and age when everyone can use Viber or What's app or other messengers they should have more forms of contact.

Well located Venice hotel room.
The room was huge and overlooked a small canal. The windows had bars so we couldn't lean outside. The only problem with the hotel was that there were no lights in the entryway and stairwell so coming back when it was dark was hazardous. The location is great and is just one door away from one of the main routes to the Rialto Bridge.

Great apartment close to everything.
This apartment is old (in a good traditional way) and gives you the feeling of being in the heart of the living quarters and not in some modern room in the tourist areas. We were only ever about 15mins walk from anywhere we’re wanted to go, once we’d worked out the geography. It’s easy to take a few wrong turns from anywhere in Venice. Initially we had a problem with getting hold of the host 48hrs before as requested in the confirmation email. Hotel.com quickly remedied this after a 2min phone call to their help number. I quickly received arrival instructions and an explanation of phone signal issues, so if the same happens to you don’t panic. The beds were comfortable and electric sockets throughout. The bathroom is old but not out of place and more than clean and serviceable. It is shower only in our apartment, no bath. The kitchen again is adequately equipped if you want a meal in. We bought breakfast items from the coop about 3 mins walk away. There is a nice speciality grocer about 3 doors down too which stocks enough to get you going (but no milk strangely). The airy large rooms with hard floors kept us cool and the air on worked well. Not that we needed one but there is no tv or radio. WiFi was decent quality for the the area. Thank you for a well priced lovely apartment.

The apartments are a little difficult to find, but when we did, we were pleased with the size and location. Our reservation was for 4 people. The room suited us well, but we only had towels for 2. Our private bathroom was long and very narrow. We had a 4 night reservation, so fresh towels, emptying trash cans, and refreshing the teas and coffees would have been a nice gesture. We were personally greeted when we arrived, but had no direction about where to leave key when we checked out. Nice accommodations that could uses a few tweaks to improve the experience.

AIr Broken Entire Trip
Arrived after 7 (7:28) due to train strikes and was charged $20 euro (understandably). Had trouble with cell service so couldn’t communicate well about our arrival time. Room was clean, large and amazing location. We had the quad family room. No shower just bath tub. AIR DID NOT WORK!!! The air didn’t work- it was 84 degrees in out room the first night. We called and were told no one to fix it as it was a Sunday. Woman came to try to help and said it was working. Tempeture in room second night was 86 degrees. Absolutely miserable. Asked about compensation for no air both nights and received no response at all. Cleaner came in last morning and was appalled at how hot it was.
