Highly Recommend
Cleanliness is what I look for in a hotel, and Real Maestranza is the epitome of CLEAN. This is evidenced in the rooms, restrooms, lobby, foyer, restaurant, garage, everywhere. Staff are professional, welcoming and friendly. This is where I'd stay again when traveling to Guadalajara and would recommend hands down. Location is ideal and walking distance to the Cathedral, Mercado Juan de Dios, and local eateries. Walking in surrounding areas is fine during the day but kind of sketchy during the night unless joined by a large group. My biggest positives and takeaways are the cleanliness, great breakfast buffet and the high pressure rainbath shower heads (oh so good after a long day). If critiquing, I would say the low water level in the toilet requiring multiple flushes and the Tequila tour we booked through the hotel (toured insignificant tequila distilleries). Other than that, I would definitely recommend.
