We have stayed with you guys before in December and loved it. Unfortunately this time was not so good. We were given a room with stains, broken doors, holes in closet. We went downstairs and asked why the room was destroyed. The response given was spring break just happened and it is what it is. After some talking with the manager we were given another room on the 40th floor. This room had door handles that fell off, a Door that would not close without forcing it. Stained couch which we were warned about and again told it happened during spring break. We asked for assistance moving all of our stuff from one room to the next. we were told no one was free and no luggage carts could be found. Trip after trip we made our way to our new room and lived with the issues still present in the new room. The next morning I was greeted with a microwave that wouldn't work. I called the front for 20min with no answer. Finally dialing random extensions someone picked up and transferred me. I was told that you would text your crew to assist and have zero clue how long it could take. To my surprise it only took 5min which was great and got the microwave working. During our stay we were stopped and harassed by security multiple times because no one told them we had moved rooms. We called the front desk to ask for more trash bags and was told they are by the trash chute. We asked Cleaning for more and said they do not service our room therefore could not give us any more. Needs work, rooms need a re model due to furniture being worn, dirty & little outdated. Needs a way better valet company. Horrible valet that first class valet system is. Pool attendants should be fired the lazy ones and hire some very honest hard working ones. Only saw one lady who came around pool to serve us and others. She was very kind but said I’m the only one who ever works. Way to access floors needs work. Elevators are always slammed and long waits. Front desk staff very honest and respectful and try to help out the best they can which is good. I think this whole Covid situation and dropping prices on these nice places really brought the scummy people to come visit and ruin these places.

Where do I start. The moment we walked into Hyde we were welcomed by extremely rude staff that were bickering and arguing with each other in front of guests. When we walked into our room the beds weren't even the sizes that our reservation called for. We had paid for 1 King 2 Queens but instead were placed in a 1 queen, 2 twin size. When we called the front desk we were told that we were wrong and that we had a 1 King and 2 Queen. But they refused to come into the room and show us that we were wrong. I’ve been in the mattress business for long time and i am very knowledgeable in that department. Housekeeping never came to clean our room and our confirmation email stated that this would happen daily. What made it even worse was that it felt like such an inconvenience for the staff to bring towels and toilet paper to our room. With each interaction we had with hotel staff there was not one pleasant one. Bad attitudes , and plain disrespect is what we experienced during our short stay. The Balcony area which we thought would be the only good thing about our room, was filled with broken glass that housekeeping had failed to clean up. Had we not paid attention our kids could have stepped on a piece of glass and severely cut/injured themselves. Valet was a complete nightmare as well it takes 20-30 minutes at times just to drop off/pick up. When we called for our last pick-up so that we could head to the airport the guy sitting at the valet desk had his head down and was asleep.

First and last time I stay at the Hyde. We booked for an ocean view 2 bedroom room with wrap balcony. When we first got to the room, we noticed how dirty and stained the rug was throughout the place. The walls were also scuffed and dirty. It didn’t give you a clean feeling. Especially not after you are paying a lot of money for a 4 star hotel. We called customer service to complain and NO one answered the phone lines. When I went down to speak to the agent in the front desk, I told her that the place didn’t feel clean. She apologized and said she felt bad and went ahead and told me that they couldn’t send anyone to clean due to covid. I requested cleaning products. She said they couldn’t provide any cleaning supplies. She then continue and said there was a Walmart down the block. The balcony and outside walls looked like they have never been clean in a year. We went down to the pool and couldn’t get an umbrella for our pool chairs not get fresh towels. And the elevators situation was OUTRAGEOUS! 40 floors trying to check out using 4 elevators. It took over 30 mins to get to the lobby. Frustrating!!!!

Amazing pool area and great service.
View and room are awesome wslking distance to the beach. Elevator ride is horrible non existent service. If you stay in your room most of the trip will will love it if not you will hate.

The elevators were down and it took over 40 minutes in a packed elevator during a pandemic to get anywhere. When we went in the morning and early afternoon to the pool to avoid the crowd, there was no one to give us towels.

Staff is unaccommodating, although I’m not sure there was much they could do to improve the degree to which management has allowed this hotel, which could be beautiful, to fall into serious disrepair. Much of the property and the rooms are filthy or damaged. The carpets in our unit were absolutely filthy. I injured myself on the property as the result of the hotel’s attempt to block an entrance by placing a very heavy iron umbrella stand, (absent the umbrella) with a very sharp open edge at mid-shin level in front of the entrance without any other notice or sign. I bruised my shin badly, broke the skin, and twisted my ankle. Security did come up to photograph my injuries but had to beg for ice to lessen the swelling. The comments from other reviewers about the elevators are accurate. We almost missed a funeral waiting more than an hour. During most of our stay at least one elevator was not in service and during several days two of four elevators were not in service. At one point my sons and husband had to run down 37 flights of stairs to hold our Uber. There was electrical tape holding broken glass together and several broken machines in the workout room. With little effort this could be a 4-star facility. It is right on the beach, the pool is attractive. We spent $3000 renting a two bedroom suite for 4 nights and had to pay for more than two beach chairs. Outrageous. Tragic that ownership has allowed this property to fall into such disrepair.

loved the view it was amazing!! the suites are very spacious with great quality. All of the staff members were helpful and friendly. Already booked my 2nd stay here!!!
Too much time to have back our car each time we needed it. Valets are so lazy, and slow.
