Gota de Sal remains a favorite because of its location near the beach and in town. Rooms are clean with good working ac and fan, a small fridge, safe, hot water. Beds are a bit on the firm side.
Unfortunately the beach club at which one could get a halfprice deal for the day if staying at the hotel which directly in front of it and which was excellent, has been closed for unknown reasons.
Gota is within easy walking distance of a number of great restaurants and the town centre,
One downside is the music noise coming from a place across the street that may go until 11-12. Fortunately mostly 70-80’s cover bands , so bearable , but quite loud.
The foodtruck court that had set up residence there a few years ago has fallen victim to the pandemic and is looking abandoned. The hotel also no longer serves breakfast in the reception area but there are lots of places in the immediate vicinity to go.
The streetside pool remains well maintained and has a number of loungers and umbrellas around it.
Overall a good value choice for PM.
