We stayed a few months ago in this hotel and the guy at the reception had a horrible attitude this time he was better and we received a better service from him

Everything was amazing! Will definitely go again. The only thing I would say needs work is the sewagey smell there is in the shower. It can get a pretty bad smell. But overall everything was amazing.

Nice room with a kitchenette which we didn’t use. Staff was friendly and efficient getting us a cab and taking our bags. We liked the Insurgentes area a lot having visited many districts in Mexico City. Lots of nice restaurants and shops.

Krystal has a great luxury look, unfortunately there are many flaws in their infrastructure as well as their service. Noise from the outside (traffic, music, sirens, etc) is extremely uncomfortable and makes it hard to have a good rest. Noise from the hallway is also terrible, as you hear other rooms, people talking and walking. Staff often forgets request and they are not service promptly. Location is great. Mexico is well recognized for its service as well as their architecture so other options of lodging will be consider in the future.

No hot water. I stayed for 5 days and had slightly warm shower one day and the rest was freezing. To get slightly warm you need to run shower for an hour—- in a city with water shortages. Go figure. You call the front desk and they are clueless or outright mislead you. No business center for a “business hotel.” They will overcharge you if you buy alcohol on premise. They lie about providing a covid test as stated on website. Food in restaurant was C- and below. When you call for service in your room, nothing happens. When you call back, nothing happens again. When you call back, they seem perturbed.

Arrived 1.5 hours ahead of check-in time. I was told the room was not ready - the property claims "guests rooms kept vacant for 48 hours between stays". I was told that due to VIP Gold status with Expedia I would have a room upgrade but I would have to wait. At 3:00 p.m. I was informed that the offer for the upgrade had been rescinded and originally booked room was now clean and ready. Based on the posted statement on the hotel's page: "This property offers onsite health screenings for COVID-19. There is no charge for rapid antigen departure screenings for US citizens (up to 2 guests per booking) staying 3 nights or more", I tried to book my test. The agent had no idea, he called somebody and was told the hotel had not signed the contract with the testing provider yet; I would have to follow-up as they were gathering information and I would have an answer the next day. Stopped by in the morning and the desk agent told me they had the tests on-site, the he could draw blood and perform the test, but he could not and would not provide any documentation. If I wanted, he could arrange for an approved facility to perform the antigen test on-site, but it would cost around $280 USD. The next day received an email from the hotel Manager offering to book an appointment off-site. At that point the airline had given me a list of approved providers and I already had my negative test results (ready in 20 minutes). I replied I would address the issue with Expedia upon my return to the US.

No hot water. You have to run shower for an hour to get slightly warm (in a city with water scarcity no less ). You tell them about it and they say everything is working fine. Front desk is clueless or outright misleads you. They will overcharge you disgustingly if you buy alcohol on premises. They lie about free covid test as stated on website. Food was a c- or below. No business center for a “business hotel.” When you call front desk for service, nothing happens. Call again - nothing happens again.
