Nice Location, Nice Place and Comfortable Room

房間乾淨簡單，兩個29吋行李箱沒辦法全部打開，是個缺點。共用廚房尚可，環境維持得算乾淨，不過用餐空間燈光太暗不夠亮。

Although the room is smaill, quite typical in Iceland, it was very clean. It comes with a wash basin. The shared bathroom is closed to the room. You are allowed to cook in the kitchen. The property itself is ideally situated in a pleasant surrounding - by the river. Parking was not a problem at all.

We have stayed in multiple self check in places, so we were familiar with the concept. This place however requires someone to at a bare minimum have a look to the common areas and do some sensible mantainance. The men bathroom, disgrace, flooded thanks to the shower room leaking water everywhere, one of the shower rooms had a holw in the wall were you could easily hide inside, who knows what you can find inside there. The kitchen had no light as 5 out of 8 lights were broken. We saw people arriving with no codes to self check in and waiting in the common area, hoping to get someone to answer their phone calls. The room itself was simple but enough to sleep one night, unless you find hairs all over the bed and pillow in which case, you will spend your time calling for service and get no one to answer. The owners of this place don't care about their guests, here you will pay without knowing what you will get, and you wont be able to claim anything during your stay.

Most Icelandic guesthouses are converted from old houses and have small rooms up narrow staircases. This building is a purpose-built guesthouse with wide, hotel-style accesses which makes it a lot more accessible for people with accessibility issues. However, it loses some of the guesthouse charm as a result :) so it depends on what you're looking for!

It is affordable and clean, however, I en self check in can be done with more worth and welcome. No written instructions in the room. Guess were confused and keep asking each other for information and help... One welcome letter, one night table in the room, some notes and info arround the property would make guests feel that they care for them, not only for their money!!!

+Fine for 1 night. +Property was almost empty, so I didn't see other guests, and it felt like I had the place to myself. +Great kitchen & facilities +Parking outside +2 shower rooms, designated female one which was also warm, which was a nice touch +Tiny sink in room, which was great. Small wardrobe too. +Checked in late, but I could enter the building and then call/text a number, whom then gave me the code for the room. -Room was not as in the photo, smaller than portrayed (travelling solo, doesn't mean you don't need ANY space) -Hairdryer would be useful
