It was a really nice stay at the Rookery, the staff were really kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and you could have as much as you like and was very filling. We had the family room on the top floor, which was two rooms with an a joining door, one twin room and one double, both spacious with their own tv and facilities. The only small downside to the room was the shower, as it was a telephone set on the bath and fit to the bathroom location in the eves unless you were only 4 foot tall you couldn’t get under it, however there was plenty of hot water and the bath didn’t take long to fill. The location was great, a 10 minute walk to the town centre and a two minute walk to the beach, and the best end of the beach as the closer you get to town the more stoned in the sand, all things considered a wonderful place, great hosts and a nice place to stay.

Great B&B in Swanage

In a great spot on a quiet side street. Alan really welcoming and rained friendly and nothing was to much trouble. There is an onsite bar which we did not use but the prices were very reasonable. The room ( number 7) and onsuite looked newly done and to a high standard. Only one chair in the room but there was a dressing table stool. The bed was comfortable and the bedding great quality and pristine. Light does seep in around the door frame from the hall but this was not to much of a bother. We will definitely be returning in the future, highly recommend.

Family holiday

We had a wonderful stay at The Rookery, and the only sad part was that we weren't staying longer! The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The room we stayed in was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was top notch.

Great Family mini break

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Rookery for a family short break in Swanage. The accommodation was absolutely perfect for us with our 4yr old and 6 month old and the welcome and service from Alan and Charlene was great. The location the accommodation, being only a 5 min walk from Swanage beach was perfect for us. We would highly recommend The Rookery 👍

Our 55th wedding anniversary trip to Swanage.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Rookery. Everyone very friendly and helpful and we will definitely hope to stay there again when in need of a break to Swanage. Our room was very comfortable and roomy and beds really comfy and the breakfast was delicious and enough to last us all day.
