Best place to stay in Split

When reading the reviews for Splendida Palace every single review was a 10/10 and now I see why. Everything about Splendida Palace was amazing. From the pre-arrival communication to check-out and even beyond Marija and the team are top-class. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. We had the Riva room and it was lovely to be able to relax outside on the sun loungers. The location is excellent too. Just two minutes walk to the old town. Marija really makes Splendida Palace special, she has the best recommendations and goes above and beyond to help with anything you need. Hvala Marija. Splendida Palace are following covid protocols and masks are worn in inside common areas. Breakfast was lovely, continental breakfast but some hot dishes could also be ordered. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. If you are bringing a car then I'd definitely recommend a small car as the streets are narrow, which is to be expected in Split.

The service at this hotel was better than I’ve had at any 5-star hotel around the world. It is a smaller hotel, but it really goes above and beyond on service.

Beautiful, convenient, and amazing hospitality!

This hotel is such a gem! We stayed 3 nights to complete our trip in the Balkans, and we were so glad we booked. Everything from the moment of check-in was a joy. Marija's hospitality is unmatched! The inn is a renovated historic building only 2 blocks from Diocletian's Palace, yet it was remarkably quiet. The free parking was another great perk. The plunge pool was so refreshing, and Marija was always happy to bring us out a cappuccino and cookies to enjoy as we relaxed under the umbrellas by the pool. The breakfast was really nice as well. I can't imagine anywhere else in Split being a better choice.

The hotel is run like a 7 star property. The attentiveness by the front desk to help us with tours and logistics for Split and the rest of our trip was better than just about any hotel I've ever stayed at. The room was very comfortable and the location is excellent.

Best hotel in Croatia

This was by far the best hotel I stayed at in Croatia. The communication before I even arrived was amazing, exact details on how to find the place etc. Maria is just absolutely one of a kind and she made my stay absolutely perfect. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, super clean, super comfortable and just a couple minutes from the old town, so perfect if you want to explore Split. If you want to take excursions by boat, this is also just a 5min walk away. The breakfast was fantastic as well. This family hotel really cares for their guests and they all go above and beyond to make sure you're having nothing but the best experience. I can't wait to come back!! Hvala!

Best stay ever

Until you have a concierge like Marija available to you, you have no idea how good they can be. Her knowledge and helpfulness was amazing. We visited Split for almost 10 days and she directed us all about town and how to best see all of the sites and to the best restaurants, without breaking the bank. She also brought us our countryside transport guide, Ines, who was also great - rafting, wine, Split to Dubrovnik, you name it. The rooms were amazing and very large - bigger than my bedrooms at home. Lots of windows and light, modern everything. Breakfast was beyond "at your service". We asked for a few things in passing that weren't on the buffet, and the next day they magically showed up. We happen to be in a 5 star hotel in Dubrovnik now, but its a notable step down from Splendida Palace.

Can not recommend this hotel more. The staff were super friendly and so helpful. We got a free upgrade on arrival and the room was great. Breakfast was good, lots of options and eggs made fresh to order. Location is perfect and the staff are able to recommend some of the best local restaurants.
