Good if you just want somewhere to sleep.
Listed as b&b but there is no breakfast so just a b. However there is a cafe called Love Cakes about a 15 min walk into town, the breakfasts were AMAZING. Upon arrival at The Railway Cottage we found parking down a side road for free but the next day when we went out my car, it had been damaged so maybe just pay for parking in the car park opposite. We had been text a key code to get our room keys from a safe box, we were suprised we were not greeted & did not meet the owners at all during our stay. There was loud thumping music from downstairs most of the first afternoon & banging from downstairs both nights which was annoying. Bed comfortable, room extremely clean & shower pleasant, no bath. No instruction on where to leave keys afterwards so we just left them in the room door.

Great lication within short distance of the town. Easy check in using code to access key. No breakfast but not a problem as there is a fridge in the room & a table so we took our own cereal, milk & yogurt. Room had everything we needed, ensuite & tea & coffee facilities. Dog friendly too. Would stay again.

Mediocre
Easy check in. Room at first glance looked nice and clean but being in the room for a few minutes noticed the dust was thick on the bathroom skirting boards, door panel and behind the bedside cabinets and a bit if food too. This would not have bothered me but i have a high dust allergy. Their was no towels in the room had to ask. Check out was also easy to eliminate risks of covid it was simply leave the keys in the room. The communal stair areas smelt of old and damp. Their was tea and coffee facilities and extra on the landing if required

Perfect little get away
Room much better in real life than photos Location was amazing! Playground opposite for my son 5 minute walk to the beach, steam train and most restaurants. Great communication from the owners. Couldn't find a fault! Will 100% stay again

Compacted room
The description for this guest house state parking available. After contacting owner where the parking is they advise paid car park across the road or on nearby side roads. Room very compact but comfortable . Shower head fixed position couldnt point downwards. Expensive compared with similar places that i have stayed.
