very dissapointed
We arrived at the "resort" and were welcomed by friend's of the manager since she had gone away for a week. I spoke with her prior to arriving since there was a mix up with our credit card. She informed me that the smoke had cleared from the fires around Crater Lake. When we arrived 2 days later, the smoke was still a problem since the northern entrance to Crater Lake was closed. The accommodations were spartan with a large room but nothing else. No tv, poor lighting and a make shift shower. We decided not to stay an additional night due to the smoke which bothered both of us. There was no one to discuss canceling the second night and when I called the manager, she told me that I could not get a refund for the second night after leaving. They also charge a lot for everything on the lake ie. canoes, boats etc. Should have been included under the circumstances. Very frustrating and expensive for one night's stay.

They didn't have Internet access or barely cell phone reception. The shower was small and the water sprayed up against one side of the shower. Wasn't able to move it towards the center so it was difficult to rinse off.

Really rustic place, no cell phone signal, no TV. But we had a microwave, stove, full bathroom. Excellent if you want to get away and enjoy nature.

beautiful lake, lovely people.
it was supposed to be just a rest stop, i had no idea this lake resort was as beautidul as it was. there is canoeing and kayaking and swimming. the receptionist was very friendly. we enjoyed our $10 breakfast. no wifi or phone signal but thats the point lol.
We stayed in room 7 at this cabin.

Lake with murky water they had no more lunches available , boat rental very expensive nothing to do in area . We slept there because we went to crater lake

The advantage is being close to Crater lake.
This is a cabin in a campground. We had 2 queens (not very comfortable) and it was better than being in a tent. Don't expect it to be like a hotel. Overpriced for what you get in my view. Walls were thin so we could hear everything going on in the rooms below us. We didn't get much sleep due to these factors-but we were pretty close to Crater Lake, which was what we wanted.

One step up from camping
Spartan rooms in an A-frame. No A.C., only fan in the window which sucked in the neighboring campfire smoke. After spending the day on crater lake with the smoke from the wildfires we thought we would get sick, which my husband did. His coughing must have kept up the people staying above us. (Yes, our A-frame butted into another building and children were staying above us.) You could hear everything. And the children loved running up and down the wooden stairs.... Minimal lighting in the room with no closet. The mattresses must have been old because one side dipped. No hair dryer, no shampoo, you had to bring everything with you. Not a real kitchenette. No sink in kitchen. You have to use the bathroom sink. One spoon, 2 forks, 1 cracked bowl, and 3 salad plates, 1 of which was cracked.The refrigerator was so small we had to use our coolers and pay them $3 for a bag of ice. And the room had 2 queen beds so they should have accommodated 4 people. This is really a campground, not a "resort". I wish I had paid attention to the star rating. This is a 2-star "resort". I wonder what a 1 looks like? Actually, I don't want to know. If you want to camp and own a boat, this is a great place! The "resort" is right on the lake in a remote area. It has a boat launch. One group of Oregon duck alumni had the campsites right next to the dock. They had their ski boat and RV totally decked out. If I was 20 again and expected to camp... This might have been a perfect place!

No AC, attic room with low cielings. There was no TV. You could not see the lake from the cabin. It was over priced. There is a reason they have a thirty day cancellation policy . We booked two nights but only stayed one.
