茱洛夫酒店 - 達卡

This hotel has a very nice view and is quite modern. The first day I was put in a room on the ground floor right by reception and was worried about the noise and a window that wouldn't lock. Also, it turned out the air conditioning didn't work! When I asked for a different room, they took some time, but eventually I got a room on the second floor with everything working. The breakfasts were unfortunately not included, but they were good!

I have to confess that I only stayed one night, arriving at the hotel at about 10pm and being collected for a tour at 8.30am the next morning! Airport pick-up was arranged quickly and easily and it was such a relief when I arrived in Senegal feeling pretty exhausted. When we pulled up outside the hotel, I was relieved to see the flowers as it looked friendly and welcoming. Staff were friendly and wifi was good. Some road noise overnight though

The room was clean, the staff were friendly, just great. Better value for money than a lot of the Western style hotels. Make sure you try the rooftop restaurant in the evening, its breezy and a welcome break from the heat! The only bad thing is a lot of the locals also come to the rooftop bar so can be busy and noisy till late if you are trying to get to sleep early.
