Realist

To clear up the confusing reviews with a realist opinion. It was clean for the most part but attention to detail was lacking- BR fan was dusty and some light mold in shower (nothing that doesn’t happen at your own home). Pool is NOT as pictured but was still nice enough and clean. Workout room was small, as pictured and each machine had rust on it- I assume from humidity of being near pool. But it all worked fine and was clean. Staff were a mix of friendly and not…that’s people for ya. Breakfast was good…the eggs did look like they were tossed back in from yesterday and were super dry. All the other food was great. Staff were getting themselves breakfast at breakfast time but weren’t rude or in the way. One staff was very concerned (3x) asking me about my bagel I hadn’t had a chance to grab yet because I was fixing food for my kids. Think she wanted to get her bagel in the toaster and wanted mine out of the way so that was annoying. The outside of the hotel does look older more than the pictures show but it’s in good shape and kept up. Takes about 1-2 minutes to walk down to the strip so you don’t have to pay for parking. Overall a clean hotel with good amenities and decent staff. We would stay here again, if needed.

Ok but wouldn’t stay again.

We were able to check in early which was great. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are not cleaned daily unless requested. I stopped at the front desk after day two and requested clean towels and to have the trash taken out. The lady working this desk this day was on her phone and seemed bothered by me interrupting her. They only brought enough towels for one day even though we had two days left. On the third day maintenance was drilling and hammering something outside our room door just before 7 am. I like to sleep in on vacation but apparently not this day! The hotel was clean and the breakfast was decent the one day we ate it. It was a short walk to downtown which was convenient. Parking was a premium so if we left for the day we had to make sure we were back early enough to get a spot. We were told overflow lot was a few blocks away and were not comfortable parking our vehicle that far. I probably wouldn’t stay here again. Most of the staff we saw were unfriendly and didn’t seem to really want to be there which was off putting. I don’t need special attention or require a lot but it’s nice when the hotel staff greets you and is friendly. We didn’t get our free cookies either.

Not worth what was paid

The pictures make this property seem much nicer than it is. It was old and need of updating. In addition, little things were annoying like the fitted sheet didn’t fully fit the mattress so by the time you woke up in the morning the sheet was bunched up under you and you’re on the mattress pad. The parking lot was often full so you had to use overflow parking. Breakfast was good. Staff were fine although nothing exceptional or remarkable to write about. For the cost, there are better options in Gaitlinburg that will give you more value.

Quiet yet close to fun!

Receptionist were great and friendly. 2 blocks from all the action of Gatlinburg but yet quiet when you need some sleep.

The Hotel was located in an excellent location! To be able to walk out the door of the hotel and be right in the main drag was great. We were disappointed bc we had teenagers that the pool water was too cold to swim in (one big reason we booked the hotel). The bathroom had no towel racks. No signs in the room as to what to do with dirty linens or trash... you had to go ask towels one day we got them the next day we didn't. The room was small for the price.

Won't stay again

Hotel was o.k. Employees were not overly nice. Guests should be able to use the elevater without the employees practically knocking you down to get in first. Toilet was clogged, and was handed a toilet plunger. I guess gone are the days when employees do their job. Would not stay here again. Slowly running out of places to stay in Gatlinburg. They all seem to be going downhill which is sad.

Just ok

Just know what your getting into. The property is an aged building that has been made over but the fit and finish is not up to par. Pool area roof leaks on the spectators, came into a bed that had a wet spot under the sheet (not sure what that was about), super noisy neighbors (that’s also what you get in a high tourist area), door jam close to 6’4” and I was hitting my head multiple places throughout the property. Not an issue for most but every other hotel I have stayed has std 6’8” door jams.
