Super cool location. The stair way to the beach is literally 5 min away. They have a fire pit that you can turn on too. Close to everything. Nice and clean. Nothing fancy. Sheets were clean too.

The staff is extremely nice and was willing to accommodate! We had room 210, which had such an amazing view and had its own patio! I would definitely stay there again!

Overall, my husband and I along with our 1-year-old had a great stay at the tides hotel. We stayed in a two-bedroom which included a refrigerator and a fan. I wish that they had included a microwave in the room along with an iron and iron board to iron clothes. Nevertheless, the site had a beautiful view, overlooking the beach and the ocean, altogether!

The service was good, room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. However, there’s no AC in the room and it is a bit outdated for the price charged.

Rooms were cleaned and sanitized well. Bathroom items and tv controls were bagged. Loved the classic beach feel of this hotel.

The first night the room was so dirty the doors and walls were gross. It looked like what you would expect is a bunch of toddlers were set loose after playing outside... dirty hand prints everywhere. The paint was chipping off, the blinds were broken. No way to regulate the room temp. I talked to the front and got moved to another room. The new room was much cleaner but the door didn’t lock all the way so the door never fully closed. There is limited electrical plugs. We have stayed here before but in the cottages and the beach house and did not have these issues. The location is great a mile walk from the pier and shopping. The manager was very nice. I would just recommend not staying in the regular rooms. For the price you could get a way better standard room at a hotel on the pier.

Where do I start with this place.... I have never left a bad review anywhere we have stayed at Pismo (we absolutely love being there). But this hotel was bad.... my wife myself and my daughter showed up at 5:00pm on a Friday night, we checked in everything was good to go. We walked outside (they do have a cool little fire place) and the same person that checked us in said “umm what room number are you” I replied “hey man, just checked in! And you checked me in haha” he said “okay, still need it” almost like we were random people sitting by the fire lol. Have him the room number no biggie. We were on the top room (which they consider partial ocean view, save your money!! It was not worth it). Well when we got in there were these pincher bug EVERYWHERE. I went down and talked to the same guy that checked us in and he was extremely rude about it. Almost like I “set them up”. Made it very very weird. We got moved to a new room (downstairs). It looks like there was mold on the walls and all the windows were taped up from what looked like damage. If your looking for a “nice” get away, please spend the extra $40 a night at a nice hotel! You will regret staying here. Also, they have an awesome grass spot in the front . But don’t you dare let your kits have fun on it (or the same exact guy who checked us in) said that “due to potential liabilities, kids couldn’t run in the grass” All in all, this place was a joke. Felt like you were always being watched!!!! Good luck..
