This is my third stay at Silver Lake, although it may be my last. The door into my unit didn't work on the first day so at 10 pm I had to drive back down to the lobby and have new keys made which involved waiting in line 45 additional minutes. Those, of course, didn't work so security had to come and let me in and "fix" the issue. I didn't end up getting to bed until 1 am due to the ordeal.
The next day, I sleepily headed off to disney but when I got back after 14 hours in 93 degree heat and rain, I found that my door STILL didn't work. They hadn't fixed it at all the day before.
I tried to call the front desk but they just put me endlessly on hold. I had a family member from another unit get security involved again and they left my door unlocked for a while (unsafe) and then they sent someone to actually repair it this time. I was still on hold with the front desk this entire time-- they never actually took me off hold and if I hadn't had family there with a car I would have been walking around late at night in the dark alone each time to get this fixed. There were people in my building openly carrying bottles of liquor around and then getting into their cars so VERY unsafe.
This stay was unsafe, and generally caused me to spend a couple of hours of my two day vacation dealing with their broken equipment. I get that things break but to have to deal with the same issue multiple times on multiple days was unacceptable. I'm thankful to security for showing up.
