The hotel is well located, about 10 minutes walking from Taipei Station which is a transportation hub. Room is clean and staff is friendly. I just wish there is more storage room to put in changing clothes. But overall, it was very nice stay, will come again if in the area

Location was good, staff were excellent and very helpful. Place had a slightly run down feel to it, the most annoying thing was a very strong musty smell in corridors and in the room, as if there had been significant water damage and was being remediated. The smell was unpleasant. The refrigerator was plugged in but didnt work . On the plus side, the location was good, we got a free welcome beer in the caffe downstairs, the bathroom was great and was good value for money

Great stay with lots of dining options around. Great breakfast choices nearby and famous noodle shops and soy milk etc just few minutes away. 7 -eleven ,.coffee, bubble tea all just nearby. The bathrooms are little bit dated and little bit of mould on tiles but apart from that it's ok for what you need

We like the location near Taipei Main Station as we were doing a number of trips around Taiwan. The room was clean and reasonably spacious for this price range. The bed was comfortable and shower good. Free coffee and water provided at lobby. Welcome mini basket of snacks was good. There is a pleasant retro cafe Notch just 2 streets away. We walked to Ningxia market from here and Shinkong Mitsukoshi has a basement food and supermarket.

Very bad experience for us! just staying for 3 nights, wanna running out shortly! First, soooo smelly when we got inside the room, that is coming from the toilet! But, no another room can change ….. Second, no service for cleaning and change the towels. Finally, we have to handle all of the garbage, have to put those all out to the room! Is doesn’t make sense… The conclusion is WE WILL NEVER CHOOSE ALL OF THIS BLANDE OF THIS HOTEL!

Worth the money

Overall I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Taipei Price: 5/5 For the prize, you are getting a decent size room in an excellent location Location: 5/5 It is located near Taipei Main Station, find exit Z6 and the hotel should be within walking distance. If you have luggage with you, use elevator at exit Z2, cross the redlight and walk to the hotel Facilities: 5/5 Yes you have to pay 500 NTD for drier and washer, but the good thing is, most of the time there will be available washer because people usually doesn't want to use it if not free. Microwave is provided as well. Service and Perks: 4/5 You can ask hotel's help to buy you gift, such as pineapple tarts, so you don't have to go out and queue for it. You also get 1 beer per pax per stay from the restaurant downstairs This hotel has an excellent coffee machine near the lobby. The hotel is really doing their best to be eco friendly - no more small body wash and shampoo, less bottle water (instead they give you a jug to be filled with water from dispenser in the lobby). The downside is just the housekeeping is every 3 days. Cleanliness and Condition: 4/5 Overall the room is really clean, a bit mold building up in the bathroom but should be an easy fix. The door is a bit faulty though, you need to push it to properly close the door.

Refused to clean our room

Stayed here for 9 nights. On the key card holder, it clearly stated that rooms would be cleaned every 3 days (this was hi-lited in pink). So on day 4, we left our towels on the floor expecting a cleaning. To our surprise, no cleaning. When we went to the desk to inquire, we were told it was to be done only after 7 days, per the fine print on the room door. Photo of cleaning policy is shown. If you stay 3 or less nights, no cleaning, but if you stay 4 nights or more, you get cleaning every 3 days. BUT if you stay more than 7 nights, you get cleaning every 7 days. We complained, and they said if we want full cleaning they would have to charge us. After we pointed out the conflicting policy, they agreed to clean on following day. The "clean" towels we received has brown streaks on them. And we NEVER got another cleaning our entire stay (we stayed 9 nights and only got cleaned on day 5)! Floors were dirty, bathroom was dirty and moldy. Additionally there were a few design flaws, such as not enough space to hang towels to dry, and a very short area to hang clothes such that the clothes touched the bottom. The bathroom had a large step up, then another smaller step up to the toilet which made for a hazardous tripping/falling risk (not all bathrooms are like this but ours was). Next to no counter space in bathroom. I might be able to forgive the design flaws, but the lack of cleaning and poorly written policy are unforgiveable.
