Probably our favorite hotel of the trip. Quite old, but restored nicely with ALOT of character. Really enjoyed the hot spring they have. If someone is in it, wait just a bit and you will certainly be able to have it for yourself. Breakfast is quite nice in the super cute and antique downstairs dining area. If you're anywhere in the NE area of Iceland, you should plan a stay at this excellent hotel.

Cute place to stay. Staff was fun to talk to. Can drink coffee and tea in reception area and chat with staff. Has a little hot tub available to use. Walking distance to the 2 restaurants in town. Room is clean and well outfitted.

Ladt at checkin was very friendly.

vert clean and comfortable. It was on the small size particularly with 2 pieces of luggage. Our room have a view of the harbor which was very nice.

Awesome hotel. building was lovely old charming, one of our favourite places we stayed in Iceland. private geothermal tub too!

Marked by a lovely old fashioned feel, we were thoroughly pleased with our stay. Restaurants were only a short walk away. The breakfast room was marvelous and the breakfast itself was perfectly adequate.

We specifically emailed to say we were not a couple and were 2 friends needing separate beds. Yet the room they gave us had a completely see-thru bathroom door and mirror reflecting into it, so wherever you were in the room you could see into the bathroom and no one had ANY privacy. Not even a fan in the bathroom. The floors, walls and ceilings had no insulation and we could hear everything in the rooms adjacent, as well as anyone in the staircase. Very disappointing.

Not a ton of options here, so we were pleased with this historic hotel. Neat history and the annex, where we stayed, was up to date and met our needs.

Beautiful and with great history abd character. It was great!!

Very expensive even for Iceland for the quality of the room.
