No hot water
I did not have hot water for my my entire two night stay. They kept saying they were working on the issue trying to resolve the problem. Unfortunately the problem was not resolved while I was there.

More like a college dorm room
Our "balcony" room with a "river view" came with a king size bed (very comfortable) & a living area w/ a sofa bed (which we didn't use). No interior doors between the two spaces. The place felt like a college dorm room & the chairs/sofa were uncomfortable to sit on. The "balcony" was a sectioned off roof area overlooking the river & the industrial roof top next door. The lock to the balcony door was broken! Room did have a mini-fridge. Water pressure (8th floor) was just OK; lots of hot water. All ceiling room lights (incl bathroom & bedroom) controlled by switches next to the entry door (very inconvenient).

The overall experience was decent the valet caught me off guard but not surprised the hotel is located downtown. My only complaint is the extended hold for incidentals. I checked out left the room in immaculate standing and the hold is still pending other hotels reverse charges immediately. My sisters also stayed and received their deposits back quickly. I hope it resolves soon

Aloft downtown tampa was a great spot. Backed up the Tampa river walk and was within walking distance to everything you could think of. The only down side was the bathroom next to the hotel bar. Not the hotels fault more or less the patrons, but it was very gross but like I said it was probably due to the fact there were some drunk idiots lingering

Loving the Downtown Tampa!
Hotel staff were very accommodating. Traveling during the pandemic is strange and the hotel made every effort to make us feel comfortable AND safe. We truly enjoyed our stay and will return. Location is great for seeing lots of downtown area! Walking to local restaurants/venues was no issue and Uber arrived quickly when requested.
