It was cool for most of the stay but, the dog down the hall was allowed to bark nonstop. I called the front desk and they said, they will check on it. I had the window open for fresh air and here comes someone smoking so, close to the building that my room was filled with the smelled of smoke.

Room, bedding, and towels were clean. Had a few people out smoking weed but, they weren't hanging out just smoking which was okay. Smelled smoke inside a couple times but, not for long which turned out to be not too bad either. Meijers and other gas stations, transportation, restaurants are near. The windows actually opened up and housekeepers did not come knocking on the door waking me up to come ask if I'm staying or leaving.

Perfect for what it is. A cheap, safe place to stay close to O'hare.

Was not aware that this hotel was non smoking as of January 2021 when I made my reservation. Should have been advised of this as smoking was requested at the same time my room was being booked. On the website it indicates that when your reservation request can not be met, you will be sent an email. I was not sent an email or any correspondence from hotels.com. I arrived and was told this info. Motel 6 would not let this Gold member check in early. I attempted to find other accommodations with hotels.com, only to be recommended higher priced rooms $50 to $60 dollars more, and with pet fees. Disappointed I kept my original accommodation and even stayed an extra night due to weather the conditions.

My concern is why was I not informed via Hotels.com when I made the reservation, that this Motel 6 no longer allows cigarette smoking? This was a concern of my stay. I should have been advised that a request I made online could not be met since the rule just changed in January of 2021. Upon arriving and being told this by desk staff, I then attempted to find a smoking motel only to be offered smoking rooms at much higher rates via Hotels.com. Or a hotel that is pet friendly with additional costs. I reluctantly kept the original reservation; going in and out, to smoke cigarettes in single digit weather. Never again.

No coffee maker in motel room. Too many pot holes in parking lot, could easily damage your vehicle., besides that, stay was fine

The motel is very clean and quiet. The parking lot is very well lit and safe.
