Most all inclusive resorts do feel pretty secluded from the city, but Iberostar felt even farther from the city leaving us to have high-quality expectations for on-site food and entertainment… The food at the pool, beach, and buffet felt very cafeteria style at times. Also, if you are trying to eat after 11pm or between traditional breakfast/lunch/dinner times, it is very hard. Room service stops and the restaurants/courts close. There is only one cafe open that late with minimum options.
The entertainment at the theater and disco also felt very cruise ship worthy rather than resort. The entertainment would be good for families and younger crowds. We left the resort a lot in the evenings for entertainment, because there were more options elsewhere.
Minus those two circumstances, it was great. The location has stunning views all around with the mountains in the distance and the beautiful beach steps away. The pool was always warm and clean, there were plenty of watersports included, chill vibes at the bar overlooking the beach, and a super friendly-accommodating staff. We always could find a place on the beach and felt safe leaving our items there all day.
Overall, fabulous time, and if you want a place to beach bum it up, lay by the pool, or have keep kids out of the city, it will be perfect.
