I wanted to enjoy this resort but I just couldn’t. Check in was ok. Pretty annoying signing in on the iPads and it was having technical difficulty. Pretty annoying. First thing I noticed was the pool. It told me everything I needed to know about the resort. It looked like a old out dated rec center pool. The rooms were clean. The resort just looked weathered and outdated. Furniture looked cheap and old. The pictures made it look much better. Very disappointing! The food was mediocre. They ran out of jerk chicken often. The portions were small. Everything was buffet style. Everything was served in paper boxes and paper cups and plastic utensils. I’m assuming because of covid. But it just really brought down the quality of everything. But understandable. I paid $95 to do the candlelight dinner on the beach. The set up was nice on the beach with candles. The food however was the same damn buffet food we ate the night before. They could have at least cooked real food for that. Now my major problem with my entire stay was the hospitality. The staff were rude and not really eager to help. If you asked a question you got no with no explanation. I asked the front desk for a mask! their restaurant requires one for entry. The woman simple said no. I stood for a second expecting her to tell me where else 2 get one.but no. We even asked a woman where a bar was and she rolled her eyes at my boyfriend and then answered. I couldn’t believe it. I never had service like this on a vacation.

Nothing was unique. It was a third floor walk up, paid for a beach view but you saw a palm tree and a little sliver of ocean. Beware the concierge - they force you to book dinner just to get an audience so they can rope you into a sales pitch for the vacation club which is great for some people however it’s supposed to be 60 minutes we were there over two hours, they gave us a very romantic dinner on the beach which was awesome and shows they save the best for members. We asked for another perk for spending so much time and were ignored. Too much junk food and carbs. Breakfast is by far the best meal and the salmon. The absolute best part was the wonderful cat and two kittens who reside there. If not for them greeting me daily I would give it a 3. Because of them I give it a 6. She stays away if you’re not an animal lover but if you are nice to her she will greet you and welcome you.
