A true nightmare
Check-in time is from 4 to 5 pm after which the office will be closed. Since my flight arrives at 9 pm, I called the number on the reservation; it was an incorrect number for an unrelated person in Maryland. Hotels.com could not reach the office either. They sent them an email and copied me but no one EVER responded. Day before, I searched the operating company and found their number in California. They gave the Jackson office number. Answering service told me that the office closes at 5 pm and that I can call them when I arrive late to get instructions. They did not tell me that the lockbox is at a different address or that they've never been to that place before. It took a lot of guesswork and trials to find the office and lockbox. It was too dark to see lockbox numbers. With wife's help and cellphone light, we figured it out. The complex was also too dark to locate the apartment. We had to turn on the high beam from a distance to read the signs. The ordeal took couple of hours of frustration. Check-in paperwork showed wrong departure date. The office was closed the next two days for weekend. Third day the office was open but no one was there. I called later and talked to the manager who apologized for check-out date error and said all is ok. Next day while away, I get a call asking me to move to another apartment soon or they will move our stuff. My wife had to drive back to pack and move. Never seen worse management. Apartment was dated but spacious & clean.
