Slightly disappointing

Photos make this hotel look better than it does in real life. It's a bit tired. The room is very basic without any of the extras that appear in photos. It can be quite noisy as you can hear people in neighbouring rooms when they come in and out and we also got woken up by lawnmowers every morning. The restaurant food was ok but there were limited choices. Likewise with the lunch options at the pool bar. Customer service was ok but not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The shower goes between hot and cold constantly. You ideally need a car to stay here as the nearest town is a 10 mins drive away. If you're coming to play golf, the course isnt very well maintained.

The lady who checked me in was super rude. It took over 30 minutes...and while waiting to process check in she took at least 2 phone calls and questions from 5 guests (including giving parking directions and restaurant recommendations. I had explained I had an early flight...and it did not speed up the process at all. Very rude. Food was also bland

This place is remote so if it's peace and quiet you're looking for this is the place. Everything is a little worn and it doesn't have the touches of luxury you might be expecting. You will need a car because in the evening the restaurant is terrible.

Pleasant location for exploring south east Sicily

Rural location provided nice setting for hotel and good access to south east Sicily. General standards, facilities and comfort in keeping with expectation of this hotel type. New rooms contemporary and more pleasant and functional than the old. Hence we actually downgraded from the deluxe booked. Restaurant experience for dinner was not good with very slow and uncoordinated service. Overall rating 3.5.

Peaceful tranquil environment

Beautiful history and charm combined with a modern feel. Old benedictine monastery converted to a golf resort hotel. Rooms are modern and spacious and plenty of room for your things. The pool was nice and relaxing with olive and lemon trees everywhere. The spa is great. I was able to enjoy a massage. The breakfast was a lot of variety including a make your own cannoli station. I did daily runs on roads and pathways that covered lemon trees and vineyards which was the exact nature feel I needed. Siracuse is about a 30 minute drive as well as the sea.

Schöne Unterkunft. Allerdings sind die Außenanlagen aus den 80er Jahren schneller gealtert als die eigentlichen alten Klostergemäuer und bedürfen dringend einer Renovierung. Deshalb 1 Punkt Abzug. Die Anlage liegt in the middle of nowwhere. Die Beschilderung mit Hotelschildern auf dem Weg dorthin könnte besser sein. Übriger Service gut.
