Great for the price

Direct access to the private beach was perfect for our family. Nostalgic feel as the rooms have not been updated but we were quite ok with that. Pool needs attention and a good cleaning

Excellent location, you just walk past the pool and you are standing on a beautiful sandy beach. There are "half moon' cabanas, chaises, and towels provided for your use. The apartments are well kept, with some minor defects due to aging of the buildings. Breakfast is good with open air sitting areas. We had a great time ! On the negative side; the office staff seems to be somewhat paranoid with Covid. You are not allowed to enter the registration office without a mask, even if the attendant sits behind a plexiglass barrier and is wearing a mask. You have to access the checking in and out paperwork/keys from a box hanging outside the office. You are also required to wear a mask while in the open breeze way and in the breakfast room even if there is no one around. My wife has respiratory problems and can not wear a mask. This was most stressful for her. Overall, we would recommend the Breakers.

Friendly staff, great location

My husband and I have been staying at Delray Breakers for a few years now because of the comfort of staying in an apartment, and the private pristine quiet beach with cabanas. Their apartments are decorated in "old-school" Florida style, but we did not mind because they were always clean and the beach is great, and the hotel is pet-friendly and has free WiFi, parking, and mini-breakfast. However, this time we decided to stay in a 2-bedroom suite to bring some family with us, and the apartment was terrible! There were big and obvious cracks in the walls, ceilings, and doors, the paint was falling off the walls and ceiling, and insects everywhere including the kitchen, where the appliances were not as clean as expected. Even one of the pictures in the living room was cracked! The staff has always been nice and accommodating, and everyone including guests followed Covid19 guidelines, but I was very disappointed to pay that kind of money for that room. They couldn't change us to another room because they only have a couple of 2-bedroom units, and apparently they were taken. In summary, if you are just going as a couple and don't mind the old school vibe, this is a great place to stay in a 1-bedroom. But beware if you are reserving a 2-bedroom. I would definitely go back, but only if to stay in a 1-bedroom. This place is still close to my heart and I hope management takes care of this- it's in such a nice, central location that it would be sad to "let it go".

Nice Frontdesk customer service needs improvement

Very nice place, quite and comfortable DEFINITELY a nice get away for any time or purpose. either family, solo, friends or couple. But the front desk girl need a re training or training for customer service. not a bad attitude but definitely an attitude. kind of sarcastic way of being or trying to be "polite"

Great Location

We had a wonderful mini vacation with 2 teenagers and we had a wonderful time. The location is the best, just walk out to the private beach, there were hardly anybody there, many restaurant and grocery store near by. Bed was very comfortable, partial ocean view was a plus. Due to Covid-19, check in/out was smooth, the place was cleaned inside out, simple breakfast served. The place was dated and old but you can't beat the location. Will definitly come back with the kids.

Great location! On beach!!! Living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Two entrances to apartment. Very run down and neglected. Left message for manager, she never contacted me.

This hotel location is great but is pricey for what it has to offer that is basically access to the ocean and a pool. There is construction going on the side that has damaged the parking spaces with a long crack on the pavement that may give way to a piece of it if not corrected. The pool is on the center of the property and they don't control noise and despite stating pool hours they allow people to listen to laud music that disturbs other guests. The staff is friendly and they try their best to upkeep this outdated property.

Excellent as always! I'm in love with this place! This is my recharging spot. Please please please don't change anything about this property 🙏 it has its unique charm of old Florida. Seeing the construction next door I got worried this might be the future for this hotel...please, don't!!! The only minor thing that threw me off a little was a cut toenail under the table of the living room but these things happen. Also, it would be nice to do something about pool hours and quiet time. On my last night there was someone (not very sober) in the pool after 9pm. And people next door were sitting outside until about 3am chatting and laughing. I think once there's no one in the office after 8pm, guests don't really care about the rules... Other than that, LOVE IT!!! Can't wait to come back!!!! Thank you that this piece of heaven exists!
