Good hotel

Nice hotel located near the shopping street and the Great Market Hall. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were functional and spacious. No complaints!

Great Hotel

Pros: Best located. Nice surrounding area. Friendly service. Clean. The room is nice and comfortable. The restaurant at the ground floor, Gablerbrau, tastes very good and reasonably priced. Cons: The bed is too soft.

Excellent place for my family to stay while visiting and checking out the sound of music tour. We highly recommend both the Star Inn and the sound of music tour. Recommend The Gablerbrau restaurant. The Pesto Basil Spinach Strudel was very good. It's in the back of this hotel.

Overall a very good location, just across the river from the old town. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to visit, and the walk to old town is quick and pleasant. The only reason this review is not perfect is because of the room itself. I’m not picky, but the beds, pillows, etc were not nice. Very hard and cheap.

Beautiful bathroom with spacious shower. Mini fridge was very helpful too! I think this location was incredibly helpful because it was away from the busy bustle of Getreidegasse St, yet just a short walk across the bridge from it. If breakfast is a bit $$ (which it was for us so didn't include) then walk over to Café Classic on Makatplatz - amazing value and sweetest staff.

The best part of the hotel is the location. Hardly 5 minutes from Mozart’s house. Rooms are clean and modern. The breakfast is just ok, for 17 euros, I would expect more. The cons: I got a room in the 5th floor and not all the windows have blinds. For some people this is not an issue, for me, it is. The big problem: one towel per person. Ridiculous. One small bath towel, not hand or face towel. For $150 the night, the customer deserves more. I am in favor of saving on plastic bottles, having shampoo in one of those attached bottles in the shower is a good idea, but....please, have a separate one for the body and the shampoo, not one for all. Also, conditioner and body lotion should be included for that price. People in the and in the breakfast room were very kind and helpful, nothing to complain about.

Great stay. From check in to check out, everything was great. Martina, at the front, was superb. She helped us secure an additional night after a last minute change to our travel plans. She also, gave suggestions and advice for points of interest etc in the city. Everyone was great. Excellent location; steps to many local attractions and bus/tram stops. Room was quiet and comfortable as well. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
