Upon driving into parking lot, lots of shady looking people walking around.
Checked in, clerk was friendly, told us room was in back of hotel. Received keys and drove around to back of hotel only to see how dirty and unkept the property is. More shady looking people around. Some of hotel doors looked like they had been kicked in, and all the door were very dirty. The curtains in all the rooms looked old and tattered, and even when closed they didn't cover the window because they hung crooked. We opened the door into the room and the odor in the room was very strong. We could not bring ourselves to go in any further. We went back to the office to let the clerk know we were not going to stay because we did not feel safe, and asked if we could get a refund. She called the general manager and was told NO. So I paid $100 for a room for one night stay, a room that isn't worth $19; shady area, shady clientele, stinky room, and very, very dirty and damaged exterior doors (in the back of hotel). Perhaps rooms in front of hotel are cleaner, quieter, and do not smell, but the train tracks are right across the street. The reviews on the website are all great, thats why I chose it, but after seeing it with my own eyes, smelling it (nasty), it is nothing the way it is described.
Think twice about staying here.
