Although it is always aggravating to endure “resort fees” at standard city hotels, it is a real thing to advertise a fake lower price, or to keep part of the room rate free of discount or free night redemption. That being said, this was a truly surprisingly good value in a great location. The happy hour in the 2nd floor lounge and the breakfast were good enough to more than justify the “fee” and a huge deal at the connecting restaurant, the Lexington Brass, where hotel guests get a prim fixe menu of full portion meals, like restaurant week. The staff was very accommodating and made many concessions as we left mid reservation for Thanksgiving dinner in Pennsylvania and changed our reservation and kept our luggage. There are 6 rooms per floor, we stayed in 1903 which is executive and has long glass wall overlooking 48th street. Very nice kitchenette and size. The host/hostess/barista in the lounge are super pleasant, and make a great cappuccino again part of the fee. Totally would stay there again if want to be in Midtown Manhattan.

The staff goes above and beyond to cater to each guest. The location is excellent and the rooms are modern and clean. The happy hour is extremely limited to only wine and cheese and the 60 something per night resort fee is less than necessary considering the extra amenities.

My stay was short but amazing. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were all very attentive. From the moment I arrived to my departure, everyone was very helpful and accommodating. I would stay here again.

The main page states 'free breakfast' but there is a $60 fee added to the nightly charges. If you are using price as a consideration, be aware the amount advertised does not include this 'see small print for additional detail or extra charges' which you will also not find on the main page. Hotel is in a great location and rooms are nice. Breakfast closed early on Sunday without notification and was told the fee would be removed but it was not.removed. I emailed the hotel to ask and the response was 'sorry for the confusion' but charge was still not removed.
