Hotel was AMAZING and the view was gorgeous. We stayed from dec 23-25 as a last minute trip. The city was shut down of course but the hotel owner was so sweet and accommodating. Bathroom and everything was very clean and breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast, but with a gorgeous view. We could see Positano from our balcony and the drive there was 10 minutes. I highly recommend this location.

The view is fantastic, and the owner is very nice and friendly. The place itself is a little old style.

This property is amazing. Beautiful patio and restaurant and friendly and helpful staff. The bath on the balcony is an amazing touch. Will definitely come back and stay here again.

Wonderfull views and location was good between Positano &"Armalfi. No need for car, use buses.Staff very helpfull

This is a quirky hotel. For sure it has a million dollar view and is quite moderately priced. Really an amazing value. Raffael was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Restaurant food was average. Would highly recommend this hotel for the view. Our room was bright and spacious.

Hotel Smeroldo was not a very good experience. We arrived at 1:30, with a noon check in, we expected to be able to shower immediately after a long, crowded, sweaty bus ride from Sorrento. We were walked to our room and the staff opened the door to our room not cleaned. We were escorted to their restaurant (which is beautiful) to wait for our room. They asked if we wanted tap water while we waited and figured they did this as a nice gesture, but they charged us for it. We didn't let all of this ruin our day because we left and enjoyed the gorgeous town. When we got back to our room after the AC was on 17 C and full blast all day the room was SO hot. My boyfriend frustratedly went to the owner and complained and he replied with, “you paid for a cheaper room, there is nothing I can do.” (our room was $200 a night and as college students that is a lot) He then told my boyfriend he’d be down to check on it when he gets to it. Naturally, he didn't like this and request it happens now since we had an early flight in the morning and it was past 9. Later a new man comes down and tries to explain that AC and electricity work differently in Italy than in the US, and I responded that we know how all of that works. He told me, “We dont allow our guests to talk like that,” and took a step towards me. The worst part was there was a dog that barked all night. Overall, a terrible terrible experience with the prettiest view.

This is a great family run hotel with an amazing staff that's located in between Amalfi and Positano. Beautiful views and great beach bar.

View from the balcony was absolutely stunning. It was one of the best locations in Praiano. Hotel room was clean, shower was high pressure. The only downside was the breakfast or the lack of it. We asked for an omlette and were told it would cost us 10 euros for one.

The views were absolutely spectacular here, and the service matched. We had such a lovely stay and will definitely be back again.
