Relaxing and quiet and short drive into Portimão, also free breakfast was enjoyable and could look out into the golf course every morning

The golf is right on your doorstep with two courses which is great. Unfortunately there isn't very much at the hotel in terms of restaurant and bar. The restaurant is a buffet and the bar is very small.

Liked the peaceful location and the willingness of the vast majority of staff to make our stay enjoyable, especially Pepe in the Restaurant. Didn't like the fact that our room was nearly 2 hours late being ready when we arrived. After much prevarication the receptionist eventually told us it was caused by the late check-out of previous occupants but this should not have impacted on us. The receptionist also blamed Expedia for giving us the wrong check-in time and there was initially no apology. The situation wasn't helped by seeing everyone else being allocated their room immediately. Not a great start but things did improve and we had a good time.

The rooms are excellent and can't be faulted. Big and comfortable bed. Air conditioning is great and not too loud. A fridge for drinks. The shower is superb. The pool area can get a bit crowded but it was high season August. I've played golf here previously and never seen anyone at the pool so out of season it would be like a private pool. Very good breakfast. Lots of choice and good quality. A car is essential as it's very remote but only 20 mins or so from the best place in the Algarve in Carvoeiro

We came here for a peaceful night to get away from the hordes on the coast - it was soooo relaxing! Beautiful views over the course, lovely pool and large comfortable bed. We also loved the buffet style evening meal - really excellent value so def go half board!

A nice golf/family resort in the countryside north of Lagos. Two beautiful golf courses. They rent nice new golf clubs. Breakfast was great!

This hotel is really nice and on a nice green land. The hotel is cleaned regularly. Breakfast is nice and service with wine. Room was really big and spacious with a big balcony. For such a big hotel, its a shame they don't have a gym. Also, if you are terrified of big ants, this is not the hotel or you. Due to where it is based, ants have very easy access to the rooms because the doors have a big enough gap at the bottom. Found a crawling big ant in my bed which freaked me out but the hotel provides you with bug spray and we also put towels to block the gaps under the door.

Despite being a few miles out of Portimao, it's peaceful and just right for those who do not want to be in the thick of it on the beach etc. A car is essential with plenty of places to visit nearby- the former Algarve capital, Silves, Monchique and the highest point, Foía, all the beaches close to Portimao and even Sagres. Excellent breakfasts are served together with snacks in the day, if you are actually hungry after the huge breakfast and a lovely buffet with plenty of choice in the evening. Staff were very helpful with perfect English if you didn't speak Portuguese. The pool was lovely too and of course, a great place to play golf! However, my one bone of contention was the fact that the staff cleaning rooms were a little too enthusiastic and therefore didn't adhere to their environment policy. It's a shame non golfers aren't allowed to walk around the property because it would've have been a good walk. All in all a lovely place to stay.
