This is definitely NOT a 5-star hotel. Maybe a 3. I don’t understand in what way they rate themselves as 5. The service was slow and inadequate (they constantly forgot to put utensils in the dining room or to even take our orders properly). The staff is unprofessional and lacks simple logic (they forgot to call our shuttle bus to the airport, forgot to send in room service, offered spa that didn’t work...). The rooms are not cleaned properly (dirty towels are not replaced, sheets aren’t changed, floor isn’t cleaned...). The food is just so so (The breakfast buffet is tasteless for the most part). Overall, it was a very disappointing stay. For the price you pay, this is inadmissible. Bad management all around. I’m surprised they haven’t been sued for using the name Intercontinental since they are not part of that chain. They’re giving that hotel a very bad name.
