Security, Taxi, Bell-Hop and Concierge service was always excellent. Especially Alberto! Housekeeping and 99.9% of servers were also fine. One person at lower pool bar on our last day was rude as he pointed out how much we should leave for a tip on $26 US/ 4 drinks. He gave us no chance to figure out the conversion, as we also needed $ for airport cab and wanted to use up our pesos. We were shocked as we never "stiff" any staff while in Mexico and didn't intend to either! The restaurant/breakfast buffet food was good, with plenty of choices. We never had a problem finding a chairs/lounges around the variety of pools and enjoyed mingling with other guests in the large hot tub. Exercise facilities were sufficient. Gorgeous Lrg.rooms with stove, small fridge, micro-wave, dishwasher. Only advice is to add robes. We walked to the Conchas Chinas Beach (No signs but directly down from Hwy 200) and the Los Meurtos Beach Pier 3 times. Had tapas at La Palapas, nice pizza lunch at Los Meurtos Brewery, and the best service and beer at Monzon Brewery. This lovely view hotel is up a very steep hill so we chose to take a cab back each time. This is a quiet area and hotel and suited to a laid-back balcony-vibe experience. There were two private events during our stay so we had live music to listen from our balcony. If you are looking for non-stop excitement and activities, I'd stay elsewhere. If you want to chill, connect with a loved one, and enjoy fabulous views, then this is your place.
