Property had noisy maintenance activity going on till 6 pm every day. Their Housekeeping and In room Dining staff were excellent. I would however like to highlight a major problem the Hotel put us through on February 23, 2020. The Restaurant offers a big spread in the buffet breakfast. However, my wife is a diabetic on insulin and can eat only a little at a time. She picked up a little of semolina upma and a cup of tea. She called a waiter, informed him of her medical condition, expressed inability to eat beyond a few spoonfuls and asked him for an omelette and 2 pieces of toasted bread to be packed, so that she could save it for later. A few minutes later, the waiter brought the omelette in a plate and told her that he is under instructions of the Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager (Mr. Ashwat) to not let the food be taken out and that she must eat the same within the Restaurant premises. It was humiliating for a diabetes patient to be subjected to this practice.The Supervisor in the F&B quietly watched and did not try to salvage the situation. TOTAL INSENSITIVITY on their part. I summoned the Duty Manager of the Hotel, who accepted that there was fault on part of the Hotel. I left instructions with Mr. Ashwat, when he called me, asking for the General Manager of Residency Towers to speak to me to ensure that no other guest with a medical condition suffers in future. No calls yet. Shows that Residency Towers has no REGRET NOR ANY DESIRE TO RECTIFY ITS REGRESSIVE POLICY.

It was clean but had to wait some time for our rooms. Understand that some floors were under renovation. Besides that everything was good. Breakfast buffet was good.thanks to Mr Ghandi’s wonderful coffee. We liked this hotel except for one thing. Staff are very helpful but not cheerful. When we stayed at GRT Grand Chennai, the staff were mostly cheerful and greeted everyone. Tot that was nice. Nevertheless pls be assured that we did enjoy our stay at your hotel and the staff are helpful.

The hotel is located in a nice area convenient to shops. Currently renovation work going on which puts burden on residents as there's lot of construction noise in portions of the building. I had to relocate my room due to this noise. While the rooms are big, the bathroom could use better lighting. It is kind of dark and the lights there are dim. Service overall was good. at times a bit slow. I think after renovation is completed, the hotel will be in better shape hopefully.
