Good for a short stay.
Very close to paddington station.
Nice view from the balcony.
Bad that they don't have lift for your luggage and breakfast for sunday is from 8am (which normal days start at 730)

Lacklustre hotel
Had a rather disappointing stay at this rather lacklustre hotel. Have stayed before in a number of neighbouring hotels in Sussex Gardens all of which were perfectly adequate. Booked and paid in advice but upon check in was asked for a passport. When I pointed out I was British and didn’t need a passport for a short trip in my own country I was then asked for a driving licence which again I didn’t have as I had travelled by train. The tone from the North American on the desk was rather rude. He then asked for a £100 refundable deposit as a damage waiver. I had no option but to pay this. Upon seeing the bedroom in the basement it was difficult to see how you could do £100 worth of damage. The room was tiny, airless, grubby, had a tiny flat screen tv on a pivot leaning into the shower (that has to be a health & safety risk). Bella Vista this was not! The view was of a small square yard with an open door to a cupboard storing wrecked furniture. Would recommend extreme caution on stays at this property. On the plus side the immediate area is really good with loads of restaurants and bars close to Paddington, really good transport links and close proximity to Hyde Park.
