Fabulous location, let down by poor service (mainly due to understaffing, rather than poor staff) and some cleanliness issues. The hotel charges 5 star prices for food, drink and accommodation, it needs to provide 5 star service to match but fails to do so.

The hotel is in a spectacular location, with breathtaking views of the sea and of a wonderful sunset everyday. The surrounding area is also beautiful, more pristine than other parts in Ibiza. Lots of coves and beaches around. The property is beautifully designed and decorated and very well kept and with many amenities. Rooms also have amazing views of the sea. Staff in hotel is all very young and nice, which is pleasant :), super helpful and available. We always got great suggestions and ideas.. You definitely need a car to move around. Santa Gertrudis is a 20 min drive. And Ibiza town and Sant Antonio both 30 min drive.

We stayed here to celebrate a milestone anniversary and must say that it was a wonderful experience overall. The location, scenery and ambience of the place is truly wonderful. A number of staff members were exceptional. However what makes a good hotel experience great is the attention to the personal details for each guest. The hotel was at 20% occupancy when we checked in. Having booked the hotel as a surprise for my husband I did inform the hotel before arriving that we would be celebrating our anniversary. On arrival we were not wished nor was there any mention of our anniversary during our stay in which we booked spa treatments and ate at the hotel restaurant. We have stayed at many other hotels in the past to celebrate previous milestone anniversaries, birthdays etc and have mostly had staff go the extra mile to make our stay that little bit extra special. This is particular true of most Middle Eastern hotels.

We where there for 4 nights. Bathtub in the room is NOT private. People in the near rooms can see to your bathtub and there is no curtain to close to avoid it. We were told this is he way all the rooms are. So you see these nice images, when you sit in the bathtub, wave hello to your neighbors. DO NOT order The Fish of The Day for room service. It is not from that day. Felt sick because of it and puked all night. There is a little lamp near your room door with a small pillow. You have to turn it to the picture of the sheep if you don't want to cleaning lady to enter the room at the time they really shouldn't. This was not explained at any time but when we called to ask how to prevent this from happening again, If you take the spa and dinner, know that although they give you an hour for the massage, cascades and dinner, they do not RESERVE A TABLE FOR YOU. We had to go eat near the pool to enjoy the view. Nevertheless, the hotel still charged us for the dinner we did not have and refused to cancel it. They would have gotten that money as a tip but instead of that they let us leave with a very bad taste and ruined our vacation. I can not recommend this hotel. Beautiful place that is managed poorly.

I stayed at the Hacienda having been to the hotel spa last year and being so impressed I thought I would treat myself on my last night in Ibiza for an over night stay with a spa the following day. I checked in and everything was fine until I came to use the jacuzzi bath in the room. As I was getting out of the bath I slipped and fractured my rib. The design of the bath is more like a sink bowl and having no hand rails, flat surfaces on the bottom of the bath or bath mats it is incredibly unsafe. A doctor had to be called out at €180 to give me pain relief in my room. I reported it to the Irina the manager. She came to the room and argued that this has never happened before and that it must have been my fault and not the responsablity of the hotel. Later after checking trip advisor I found someone else had made the same complaint. She was very rude, unapologetic and quite possibly the worst customer service manager I have came across in my life. I was made to feel like I was lying. The hotel after a lot of arguing offered to send a driver with my rent a car to the airport with me but unfortunately due to insurances reason this couldn't happen. I was unable to use the facilitys of the hotel and after everything I just wanted to get back to the uk. On my return I went to hospital in and now I’m in a situation that I am unable to work (I’m self employed) and over £400 out of pocket for what could be discribed as my worst experience with customer service ever.
