As a frequent world traveler, this is the worst "resort" I have ever stayed at. The pictures are EXTREMELY misleading, to the point of fraud. The pools...the beach...the restaurants....the rooms...DO NOT look the pictures on the website. Upon arrival we were told there would only be 2 restaurants open during our stay. WHAT!? It would not have mattered as the food was absolutely horrible. We were so underwhelmed with the dining, we called room service for breakfast and was told it was 1 hr 50 minute wait at 10am for breakfast....No thanks. The staff was dreadful, unhelpful, straight-up RUDE. I called the front desk 4 times in one morning to get water and clean towels. My room was never cleaned for the 4 days I was there. My door key kept de-activating and when I went to the front desk to get a new key, he replied "I've already given you a new key" with loads of attitude and rolled his eyes at me!! Nuts. The walkways and exposed stairs are EXTREMELY dangerous and slippery. I feel twice and busted my knee. I attempted to ask the front desk if they had a basic first aid kit for neosporin and a band-aid and they said they do not have a first aid kit, but at my charge they could call a paramedic. It is impossible to get a bottled water on the grounds. 2x I was told "I can't help you with that." The resort is FILLED with mosquitos. I was bit over 40 times. The beach is so rocky you can not enter with tennis shoe. Shore is filled with STINKY seaweed. AWFUL. STAY AWAY

The staff were awesome never wanted for anything the pools were always clean

The staff around the property was great very friendly and helpful. We had to change 3 rooms while there due to the poor conditions of the rooms 2 had no ac the drains wouldn’t work one had a dead cockroach on the floor I’m all for free tropics but that was off putting. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Due to COVID food choices are limited so check the schedules and plan ahead. MEN NEED LONG PANTS TO EAT DINNER IN SOME RESTAURANTS! If you forget the gift shop has some for $42.

The staff for the most part was very helpful and accommodating, All of the wait staff was awsome. There are only a couple things that I thought could use improvement. #1. I tried to get some change for tips ($5 bills) or $1 bills, they didn't have enough. I was tipping $10 for each dinner, $5 for lunch and bar services, I am sorry but I can't afford to tip $20 a time. #2. We had to pay a fee for the dive boat to pick us up at the dock. (dock fee) REALLY! It wass only $2 per person per day, but its' the principal.

Decent place for middle grounders, needs upgrades, definitely not “luxury” but they did do their best to accommodate

We reserved a swim up ocean view jr suite and it was wonderful! We would certainly vacation here again and request the same room. All the staff was very friendly although the majority of the restaurant service was slow and sometimes forgetful of requests. There were planned activities during the day and nightly entertainment of some kind. The Sky Bar has beautiful ocean views and live music or DJ in the evening. The food was not gourmet but the overall experience for us made up for that. It will be interesting to see the difference when they can return to 100% occupancy and open all venues.

Beatiful resort the food was great especially at the french restaurant and the staff really made our experience phenomenal. Leo, Brite and Isabella were amazing!

This secrets hotel is a bit run down. Our bedroom had block mold all over it due to condensation from an Air Conditioning unit that leaked water when turned on or off. The entire floor of the hotel room would have a glaze of water on the tile making it extremely slippery. Changing rooms was not an option although the hotel wasn't booked at capacity. In our package we have a bottle of wine included, it took us asking 8 times at the front desk and for us to get a manager involved for us to finally receive a 5 dollar bottle of white wine. The hotel is ALL INCLUSIVE but yet on Expedia you can buy just breakfast, which many people do. The problem is all hotel food and drinks may NOT BE PURCHASED outside of the All Inclusive plan so you are literally trapped far away from centro with no options nearby for food and drinks. Make sure to rent a car if not going to the all inclusive plan as centro taxi rides are far away and add up quick. I definitely would not stay here again and this includes all Secret hotels after this experience.
